Today we’re turning an underused mudroom into the custom built-in wet bar of my friends’ dreams! This was my first professional project working with and collaborating with other fabricators to make a vision come to life,, and I cannot wait to share the full reveal with all of you!

You have absolutely outdone yourself! that wet bar is breath takingly beautiful...truth be told, I was a bit concerned about staining pine...since that has never gone well for me but it looks good there. Dad as usual had your six and adding the sink is impressive.
Sam I LOVE this! I want a wet bar so bad now! Also, those custom grooves in the stone for the floating shelves were such a great idea. I’m inspired all around! 👏🏼

Sam, you look so cute in your Carpenters jeans, very practical for our favorite, DIY Huntress. Don’t miss out on Carpenter bib overalls, these were must wear item for girls back when I was in high school, white was most popular color but I must say we were stylin’ . 😎👍 Love all your projects and enjoy when Dad comes along for the ride. Sam, you do amazing work! This turned out beautiful 😍 If you want to do your own gallery rail in brass, I can recommend a website. I saw it in a blog, ordered it with fingers crossed 🤞🏼 😂 and it turned out great!! Also, it’s so much cheaper than anyplace else I found. I got three 40” rails for $90 delivered. The website is called Grand Brass Lamp Parts. (i can help with sizing if you need) So amazing! But again, you and your dad did fantastic work! Thanks for the inspiration!! Looking forward to your next project!

When staining pine, you should always start with stain conditioner. It eliminates the blotchy look, the pine causes, with stain.
This is patently untrue. Thank you for your input.
They actually lovedddd this look and it wasn’t blotchy at all. 😊
@@ENCurtis I bet if you polled all of the woodworkers that you subscribe to, at least 80% will say that pre stain conditioner is "patently" necessary for a non-blotchy product. But, if the customer likes the blotchy product, then you don't need to use it. Pine is made up of approximately 50% early wood and 50% late wood. That cause a soft/hard surface
They will not accept stain the same. If the customer doesn't get to see the correct product, how do they know they like the blotchy one better?
Like I mentioned. The final product wasn’t blotchy and my friends were very happy with the end result. I actually even made them a sample board to choose from before finishing. I’d hope that as a follower of my channel you’d trust me as much as my friends did to deliver a finished, polished product that looks good. Sometimes what works for some projects don’t work for others, and that’s okay too. 💓
