If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
    How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
    Never quit,
    Alex
    FULL DISCLOSURE
I make content to make money - just - on a longer time horizon than most. I want to build trust with business owners so we can find the best ones and help them scale. And if they’re awesome, write them a check and go all the way as partners.

Nothing is given in this world and you will have no other option but to stay down or get back up and keep trying. Self confidence, not being afraid to explore, and learning to say no is important. Also you will hate your co-workers at times, but in the end you have to do your job.

If you're in your 20s and looking to start an online business, consider dropshipping! It's a great way to sell products without holding inventory, which means your startup costs can be kept low. You can build a Shopify store yourself or use AlphaDropship to have a professional store built for you. Once your store is ready, you can drive traffic using TikTok ads or by posting engaging product videos on TikTok. It's a smart, low-risk way to start an online business and potentially make $10k per month. You're welcome!

I'm still gleaning the bits that help my situation, of course, but the biggest point about going so hard when you're young, have no money, nothing to lose and a plethora of time.... I wish I went harder in my youth and tried more and build a fuckload of skills. I did well, but like. If you were able to time travel and redo life (assuming you were not allowed to bring any knowledge of world events/history/stock prices lol) you would do so much more with the time and energy you took for granted back then. He is 100% right that as a man you are valued based on your utility, almost exclusively. Build your skills up just like a video game, acquire tools to augment your skills, gain more experience, and learn the rules of the game. And of course grind and min/max. There is nothing you are missing out on in your 20s as a man. Disposable relationships, worthless. Drunken nights? worthless. Movies and Tv. Worthless.
Relax by sleeping, reading to improve your mind, and mediation. You don't need entertainment, and there is nothing toxic about saying so. It's just someone else monetizing your time instead of you earning or learning with that valuable time. Stop throwing it away because people tell you its okay, or because everyone else is doing it. Your hobbies are anyting that gives you a skill, anything that makes you money, anything that makes you smart or anything that makes you healthy.
Your mental health isn't going to suffer for getting rid of your entertainment if you are in great shape, eating clean food, not having addicitions, and getting great sleep. All that men need for the mental health is to be able to like the man they see in the mirror, and to know that they see someone with value, and someone who has options and someone who they would respect.

Best thing someone that loves me told me years ago.
“Someone that truly loves you and cares about you will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.
After that anytime o guy criticized by someone like that I’ve gotten into the habit of saying “thank you for caring enough about me to tell me what I need to hear.”
On that note know the difference between that and someone maybe just manipulating you so it comes with some wisdom on your end too. But if it’s from Alex it comes from a place of love 100 percent of the time. I refuse to have any friends that don’t treat me like him. That means I have four friends and I’ve never felt more full. I don’t need an army of “friends” to feel whole. I have three true friends (one of them I’m marrying the other one I served in the army with jumping out of airplanes and Literally trusting him with my life which I always will the other is my brother and my father) I need NO-ONE ELSE!) if you don’t have anyone like him it’s time to be alone till they find you. And you will NOT find them by looking they come to you every time trust me. Now get to work.

I’m 23 bro, Don’t do 12hrsx6days if you’re in a trade or blue collar. burnout is real and when you’re sleep deprived your productivity actually depletes drastically. I’ve did sales for a couple years before I decided I wanted to drive trucks and it was the only time I could actually do a 10-12hr day and still have loads of energy after it’s easy when all you gotta do is talk to people or sit at a desk but doing this within a blue collar field will get you hurt.

I tried a handful of different types of jobs until I found that I had affinity for one thing, then did 10 years in that profession and started my own business a year ago. If you work that much you will definitely find something you’re good at, even if you have to move around a lot.

I'd say just do the best you can at the moment. This whole finding your passion thing is overrated, and you're only 21, you can't possibly know what your passion will be yet. Work to pay the bills, and work to improve your market value. If not sure what to do, go for sales. It is a universal skill that you can apply to any passion you might discover later on. I started with selling plane tickets and somehow ended up doing logistics, and I love it.

Your words showed me that. I need to take action in my life, the "trauma" I went through in the past is nothing but my origin story.

Money is not worth slaving yourself away for 72 hours a week. This is such a jaded take in all honesty. Get a job you enjoy that allows you to live comfortably and seek a happy life. You're doing exactly what this capitalistic dystopian hellscape of a country wants you to do if you're willingly giving up your life to fill someone elses pockets to get a taste of wealth. Its not bad to work hard but you shouldn't view yourself as a tool that only has value if you can learn skills for making money, that sounds like the life of a robot.

@@stupidlyawsome8590 My whole point is that what you do doesn't matter as long as you can live comfortably. Seek contentment over wealth and you'll have a better life. Slaving away 70 hours a week for a chance to pointlessly be a millionaire in your 40s sounds stupid af.

    i was a lineman from 20-23.
As i did enjoy the money (insane amounts for my age) I met good people.
I wouldn’t do it again, and now being 29, i wouldn’t get back into it.
12-14 hour days were hell. And no amount of money was worth having 1-2 hours of “me” time and 6 day work weeks. I couldn’t spend it, i couldn’t enjoy it. and i drank every single day.
Do what YOU want to do and what makes YOU happy.
This guy is a clown thinking his work ethic is the “correct” way and everybody should do it.

      Amen brother.
This guy is an utter clown.
There is no definition to success in life.
No one in the right mind shoukd ever work 12 hours a day 6 days a week.
      That’s not life.
Life isn’t about comparing and wanting fame/fortune/wealth.
Life is about doing something that makes u happy, and finding inner peace within urself and being at peace with who you are.
Not what some jackass behind a camera says u shoukd do.
This gen is so toxic it’s sad this guy targets young kids with this bs propaganda. Manipulating them to think they have to be doing this or that to be successful

    • @badart3204
      @badart3204 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@silentl7723most millionaires don’t do it this way. They have a normal job that they work such as accountant and then they work normal hours maybe 10 hours at the beginning of your career and stay within their means. They hit a couple million in their 50’s and 60’s and have some kids along the way. Look at guys like this and ask yourself “where are their kids? Where is their wife? Where is the time to actually get to know either when you work all day every day?” If you want to be treated like an ATM by everyone around you then this is how you do it bc you offer nothing else living this way.

The more EXTRAordinary your goals the more extraordinary the risk you must take on. There's a chance that you will devote your whole life to something and you will fail. Just like the athlete in the olympics spending years to get that last fraction of a second lead. But that's just the downpayment that must be made if you want to achieve anything amazing.
