Hope she return for Suikoden VI! or at least any other Suikoden remasters/remakes. Her history with Konami is so very strong, I think her return to Suikoden will be a spectacular one!
I hope so too! It seems like she just wants to enjoy little projects for the moment. Composing the soundtrack for a big rpg is a massive undertaking she doesn't appear to be ready for. Fingers crossed she returns even in a small capacity to compose just a few songs.
@@CulganValya LOL thats so weird. I bet we even were playing it at the same time at one point without knowing. Such a good game and like, perfectly paced/length.
Ive held Miki up there with Uematsu and Kondo forever, I can't believe shes back. I also can't believe I'm hearing about it from another small TH-camr that likes Suikoden 😂 cheers! Subbed just for that!
It's wonderful to see her return. I never thought she'd come out of retirement after being gone for almost 20 years. Appreciate the sub! I've been listening to your Suikoden covers for the last half hour and they're beautiful.
Suikoden 3 did indeed have a fantastic soundtrack, but Miki Higashino wasn't involved with Suikoden 3. She was out on paternity leave during its development.
I'll get around to the Eiyuden DLC when it drops, fortunately I have enough of a back cat that I'm not too worried. I just hope it releases in a quality state. Not excusing the vadfling decision's they've made but getting upset over it will serve me even less, I've been over it for a minute. So glad our OST queen is returning, her music has, and I expect will continue to stay with me for the resr of my life. I should go and find her work on those other gamea tou mentioned. Thanks again Cul 👌
I'm in the same boat with the DLC, I'm over the frustration of the DLC delays and now I'm at the "it'll happen when it happens" phase. My excitement is certainly gone because of the delays, but I'm certain that'll return when the DLC is about to release. I have a sizeable backlog to get through, so I'm not exactly in a rush to play anything. Her music definitely left a lasting impression on many of us and it'll definitely stay with us for the rest of our lives. Fingers crossed she continues making music.
It's a very surprising return. We all thought she had retired for good, but it's incredible news that she has returned. I wonder what else she's working on.
Very happy to see Miki Higashino back! It's enough to make me want to check out Bounty Sisters. I like the occasional SHMUP. I have already preordered the I+I strategy guide from Amazon Japan - looking forward to seeing that. I'll probably buy the Eiyuden plushies. I really like the games and and am still looking forward to the DLCs. I have enough other stuff to occupy my time so it doesn't particularly bother me that it's delayed. My guess is that there is more to the delay than just the codes. I just think they should have never announced a release date and we might have a little less backlash, though there's enough backlash over the rest of the Kickstarter rewards not being fulfilled (yet). As long as it happens eventually, I don't mind a wait, but I can definitely see why people are frustrated.
I'm delighted to see her return too. She's one of my favourite composers. I hope you enjoy the game when it releases! I get what you mean about the Eiyuden DLC. I think they announced it far too early before they had a concrete plan in place to release it and the fan frustration came from that. As for the Kickstarter rewards, they'll release eventually, but peoples frustration is completely understandable. I'm not exactly frustrated, more that I've reached the point of "If it happens it happens". I've got enough games in my backlog to keep me going.
Miki Hashigono is coming back? Incredible, her music is incredible and dear to my heart. I may not play the new game she's working on, but I'll at least check out the ost. I hope she somehow does something Suikoden related though :>
Same. I'm not really a Shoot 'em up person, but I'll definitely be checking out the OST when it releases. Fingers crossed the Suikoden HD Remaster sells well and Konami bring her back to guest compose some music!
I am happy that Miki is back out of retirement, it sounds like she is at least open to the idea of working on either Suikoden or Eiyuden, I don't think she would.confirm anything even if there were plans for it right now. I still want the DLC as there were story beats the game skipped and felt were missing. I also really want to see what was written for the Markus story.
Agreed. There were definitely parts of the story that felt missing and it hurt the flow of the game. Seign and his group rescuing the young emperor from Aldrics control. Having that entire chapter skipped and glossed over with a couple of lines of dialogue killed the flow of the end portion of the game. Markus' story is the one I'm most looking forward to. He quickly became my favourite character.
Yes and no. He composed and arranged some songs in Suikoden 1, and composed some Event BGM in Vandal Hearts, but he had no role in Suikoden 2 or the two Suikogaiden games.
While i love her work, eyuuden dropped the ball so hard for me i dont give a damn about the dlc. i played like 30h, the story is not engaging, the bad guy inst even a wish version of windy or luca, the battles are not balanced at all...
Fair points. Eiyuden's story and the game itself certainly fell short of many peoples expectations. Despite its many problems, I still had a great time with it and put well over 300 hours into it across multiple playthroughs.

Welcome back Miki Higashino and you too Culgan, wish the best for you all
Thank you thank you. Good to be back. And it's incredible to see Miki Higashino return to the gaming industry. I hope she composes a lot more music!
Her work on Suikoden touched my heart and soul and always will till I die
Many of us feel the same way. The soundtracks were beautiful.
Literally made my day with this video. She is one of my absolute favorites. So excited to see what she does next!
It's exciting news for many people! She's one of my all time favourites too. I can't wait to see what other projects she gets involved in.

@@robeeteam3399 Aren't you Junko Kawano fans bro 😎, hahaha 🙏😇
@ indeed bro
Finished replaying vandal hearts recently, and saw her in the end credits. Have always LOVED the OST from the first game and never knew it was her!
I replayed Vandal Hearts recently too! Played it over Christmas. Love the OST in that game too, it's got a fantastic soundtrack. She never misses.

I was fan of both games and also discovered this recently :)
I feel this is not a coincidence
I'm gonna play this game then

I think we all hope for that. I'd love if she composed music for rpg's again in the future.
Dear God, news of the year. Konami need to hire her for Suikoden VI! Im buying 10 copies of Suikoden remaster, worth it.
It would be a dream come true for many of us if she returned to compose music for the potential sequels if the series does continue!
@@CulganValyayes sir, perfect scenario
The queen is back. Konami need to bring her back
MIKI HIGASHINO IS A GODDESS!!
That she is!
Whoa whoa whoa, Suikoden HD remasters??
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster. The first two games are getting HD remasters and they're releasing on March 6th!
Followed her thanks to this video and sent her a thank you tweet hope she replies a fan can dream!
I hope she replies to you!
Cool stuff
Can you imagine a Suikiden 3 with 2D graphics like Suikoden 2? It would be amazing.
That would be incredible! I'd love if the entire series got 2D remakes. The series lost some of its charm when it transitioned to 3D.
Fantastic news, S3 had such an amazing soundtrack.
