    I have a 1/24 scale model of that Car I built it with lots of detail- every time i watch that video i realize i could never get that much detail! I agree it is my favorite Ferrari

    1. Why not Handle with gloves?
    2 Does the steering function?

      This model has 1800 parts involved with it's construction....It is worth the $400...IMHO.. I love this model..

    The shut lines round the doors bonnet etc all look as if there sitting a little proud, and am still not sure if the bonnet straps are too big, the boy showing the model wouldn't be holding my models without gloves, but still a nice model.

      @J J - Sorry, but a dumb comment! It has nothing to do with "guts", they make historic classic cars only for a reason, they are worthy collectibles. Very few if any people would pay $350 + for a modern Toyota or Honda!

    One of if not the most beautiful car made......Most think Pininfarina designed the car but no it was Sergio Scaglietti ......The GTO was a racing car and Sergio designed and built most (along with the racing department staff) all of the early race cars.

    It is beautifully crafted with so much details but the Scuderia Ferrari emblems are still missing from sides above the vents and the trunk spare wheel is nicer placed on the Hott-Wheels version.. but great model great video nicely dun buddy keep them coming.. ;0)

      Only TEAM cars had the Scuderia cartouche on the sides. Customer cars (and even independent racers) didn't.

      I have 10 CMC cars that I will be selling for a friend fairly soon & one of them is the 250 GTO like this one ! I had no idea what they were worth.
      A Yellow one just sold on ebay for £960.00 (about $1300) and there is only one red one that I could find which is in the USA with an asking price of just over $2000 ! It is a stunning car but I would'nt pay $2K that seems crazy to me.

      On ebay, but be prepared to spend up to $2,000 or more. They are not made any more and I heard that CMC no longer is licensed to make them by Ferrari!

      Actually, I found that the gloves supplied in the kit don't give you as reassuring a grip as bare hands do. I always wash my hands thoroughly before handling and have never left any marks on the model.

      As I said to another person concerned over finger oil prints, I always thoroughly wash my hands prior to handling any of my models and have never left any prints. The gloves that come with the model I find do not provide as reassuring a grip as clean, bare hands do.

      Most who can afford these models - $350+, are more interested in the Classics than more contemporary ones. I am fortunate to own 20 CMC models and each and everyone is exceptional in fit and finish with real leather seats and hood straps, stainless steel wheel spokes and overall incredible attention to the smallest details.

      @Aaron Lewis - They are manufactured and painted in Germany, then shipped to China for assembly only. Assembly costs are the biggest expense in making these highly detailed models. This 250 GTO has over 1,800 hand assembled parts! Chinese labor is significantly lower than most anywhere, and I will tell you that they do an exquisite job in assembling them. I know this as I have over 20 in my collection. 😀
