Dude... "I am strength. I am valor. I am whole! With divine blade in hand shall I sever the threads of evil from this world! I am Takehaya Susano'o! THE END HAS COME!" Terumi's so cool.
The translation is actually wrong. The stuff about him "severing the threads of evil" is bullshit especially since it goes against everything Terumi is about, which is suffering, sadism and despair. The real translation is more along the lines of "My very being is the divine blade that will destroy all that exists!"
+insanemindset The only thing is, Susanoo just seems so different than Terumi. Honestly, it really does feel like a fusion between Terumi and Hakumen. The type of arrogance he displays is like a mixture of Both of them. He has the Terumi arrogance with the eloquence of Hakumen's speaking mannerisms and he isnt over the top like Terumi is. He's well aware of his power like Hakumen and still manages to be a psychopathic sadist, however he just seems much more calm about it. He seems like a totally different individual than Terumi in my honest opinion
Zappy Caboos this is actually translated wrong I'm sure theirs better out their but this is definitely more accurate "A translation I believe is more on point than the actual in game one would be "I am power, I am strength, I am all, my very being is a sword of the gods that will destroy everything. I am takehaya Susanoo......the end has come" from what I can gather"
@vince 0 i must give you credit but one thing i do not understand is im pretty sure you took that translation off the internet, since from what i hear he does not say takehaya but mikoto which is the point of my own confussion mikoto would also makes scense as susanoo is decented of izanagi and izamami, which both where name mikoto no and then there names,
He's anything but heroic. He is a god who seeks to destroy everything in the name of despair and suffering. If anything, he's the big main villain here. But I blame the misunderstanding on the translation. "Severing the threads of evil"? That is so NOT Terumi/Susanoo.
Wow talk about reviving a long dead thread but here goes anyways. I see Susano'o as maybe not a hero, but he's definitely not a villain in my opinion. Susano'o is a basically transcended being whose existence is there for the sole purpose of destroying Amaterasu's creations. In this sense, he is never truly free, but always bound to go wherever Amaterasu bids him. He does not care so much about the things that exist that he is destroying, since that is not his goal. His goal is not destruction for the sake of destruction, it is ruin for the sake of harming Amaterasu who he feels has taken his freedom from him. In this sense, he's kind of sort of like Guts from Berserk, and I also respect him for it. Again, he doesn't kill or destroy for its own sake, but as a way of harming the one he feels is responsible for his binding.
Joey Weems He's twisted. That's not Terumi. Terumi was born out of this creature because its own will rejected the existence of this thing. And to him, with Terumi's development, the entire construct Amaterasu weaved as a world is nothing but evil. Lies. The truth of despair is the utter destruction of the false world.
.... I wonder when someone who does this realizes the music is too loud compared to the voices and will adjust the options. /shrug Still, thanks for this.
Joseph Polk I'm talking about the middle part where he talks about severing the thread of evil or something. The actual translation said something along the lines of "I am the divine blade that will destroy all that exists", and seeing as Susano'o is Terumi, talking about destroying everything makes much more sense than "severing the thread of evil". That was a poor translation on Arc System's part or whoever was responsible for the subtitles.
It doesn't seem all that absurd for him to say honestly. Seeing how self absorbed he is. I could definitely see him thinking what he does is for the better considering his attitude towards the rest of the cast, but yeah poor translation for sure.
Fuck despite the character being so damn badass and all, but goddamn he talks too much, if saitama ((from one punch man.)) were to face this guy, saitama will get so bored that he'll use a serious punch on Susanoo and end the fight there so he won't hear another word from him, because he talks jibber jabber out of his ass. XD

Well it's a side affect of using the Susanoo unit and since terumi is Susanoo himself he is Jair reverted back to his old self.

Severiing the threads of evil? What? I'm pretty sure that's still Terumi, right?

What the guy above said but I like to think of it more like terumi just returning to his old way other than it being two different entities.

Denzel Rozier Gotcha.
Oh, here this whole time I was thinking you meant "I'm getting quited used to this vessel."

Ayyyyyyyyyyy
And then Kratos f**ks him up.
