      Hey, I have a 240hz 1440p monitor, Im on the fence about this GPU. Do you think this card is able to hit upwards of 240FPS on competitive titles with the 7800X3D?

      @@chunxiang105 Yes i think so. I played as competitive Games Valo, CS2 and Fortnite.
      In CS and Valo it was easy to hit 240fps, in Fortnite i had around 200 FPS but i have a worse CPU then you and got bottlenecked from it i guess. So you should be easily able to get those high fps with the 7800x3D and the Arc. Only for Comparison i have the 5600x

      What settings do you use? All I see people saying is 1440p ULTRA or Highest settings. Like, why would you play a game at highest settings for the lowest fps? I’m mainly a console gamer so I’m used to 60 fps, but the difference between 1440p and whatever consoles do with variable resolution is honestly negligible.

    A bit of feedback for the vocal recordings: typically, when doing recorded work, you don't want to sit in the lower register of your vocal chords, as it can cause a scraping/scratchy quality to your recording that can make it more difficult to listen to. That is to say, the "normal" speaking voice most people use doesn't record too terribly well, and can also cause vocal strain over long periods. Typically, you want to keep your vocal chords at a more "neutral" mid-tone (it's hard to explain in text, but trust me, if you relax your throat, you'll feel where your vocal chords will 'even out'), which both allows you greater range to pitch down or up depending on what it is you're trying to convey, and also reduce undue stress on your throat. You may not initially like how "high/squeaky" your voice sounds to yourself, because you, like most people, tend to speak from the chest, but it will definitely help tonal clarity and it will 100% save your throat in the long run.
    Sincerely,
    Someone who's given themselves laryngitis from choral concerts multiple times.

    The Arc graphics drivers have come a long way in unlocking this card's potential for gaming, but I wonder how much more Intel's engineers can squeeze out with driver updates? This might be close to the best we are going to get. Not bad, priced right, but not competitive enough for core gaming. Best suited for folks who like to experiment. Intel has open source drivers for Linux, so it might be great for Linux gaming.

    • @ProceuTech
      @ProceuTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      Yeah, I keep seeing the whole “the drivers will improve”, but tbh idk how much more they can squeeze from the cards without a drastic rewrite/rearchitecting of their hardware and drivers. It’s been almost 2 years since these cards, at what point do we sort of “call it” and realize this is what we’ve got. Cards are ridiculously powerful if you know how to program for it, but without specific optimizations on the part of games it probably won’t stand out significantly, which stinks because I like the card a lot…

      @@ProceuTech wide sweeping gains may not be in the books but they are now focusing on dx12 and vuklan perf improvements/optimizations that may show some sweeping improvements, how large we dont know but i have seen a few niche cases so far where an update targeting other games more then tripled the perf of a game that was already getting over 60fps mins.
      one thing to remember is they are still very much learning to get the most out of their own design, the next gen wont have hardware scoreboarding(no hardware scheduler) they are going nvidias rout, part of the problems have been them working around the scorboardings flaws and to feed the hardware code in the most efficient way possible as well, Raja was hired go give them a gaming gpu, he gave them a creators gpu, and left the heavy lifting for the driver team, same as he did at amd...
      i do see some titles even some older ones seeing gains as the drivers mature though... they have taken a systematic approach, now dx9-11 games are on native code not translation layers, 12 and vk are now being focused on more with dx11 and older having some debuggers working on stuff but major focus on getting optimization done on the driver side.
      from dual 1070 amp extreme cards to this card... i have no real complaints/regrets, Acer Predator Bifrost from Neweggs 2nd batch, its been a fun ride, and the cards already aging better then what it launched against.
      3 and 4 series nVidia have multi monitor issues.... low vram, and are effectively a tier down from their previous generations... the 3060 should have been a 3050.etc..
      and amd.. well i have loved my amd systems and cards over the years, this has been less painful then the last couple amd gpu setups i have run.. despite its flaws... i still want DSR/VSR in drivers damn it!!!

    Honestly, i think the a770 is an often overlooked value package. Decent native 1440 performance that will benefit a lot from fsr (specially fsr3 + fg) in the future helping it to stay relevant especially with its 16gb of vram.
    Surely not a good option for anyone that doesn´t have a mainboard supporting rebar and maybe still a bit of a gamble for anyone mainly interested in older direct x games. Especially older niche titles are unlikely to be a focus of attention from the driver developers to fix a potential issue (graphic glitches or stuttering).
    For anyone who only (or at least mainly) plays modern esports titles, modern triple a titles and who also has a modern cpu/mainboard combo the card can be a real value option. Even more so if you get a good deal/discount.

    • @AshenTech
      @AshenTech 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      honestly, legacy supports been pretty good, even niche stuff at worst needs dxvk or dgvoodoo2, same things i have had to do on amd and nvidia in the past... sometimes the same games... the wrapper gog uses can work as well...
      really not problem oh, nglide works great on the card as well ;)
      came from a 1070 amp extreme push the limit card.. this thing at worst is on par with that, at best more like having 2 of the 1070's in sli with a high ramp oc.. so yeah...

    Personally I don't really consider 60fps that great outside of the most casual of casual most likely 3rd person games with a controller. Otherwise 90fps minimum or 120 ideally should be the target framerate any worth its salt gpu should aim for in most decently well optimized games medium / high settings at 1440p. I'll only cut them some slack if they can barely get that 90 with their upscaler set to the best quality setting at 1440p. This would mean intel would be looking at something in the ballpark of a 500-600$ a790 type card to get those numbers.

      @@ProceuTech Thank you very much for your answer, I'm thinking of getting the asrock a770 8gb version next month. According to everything I've seen, it really sounds great. I got an inter-tech argus gps-700 for my new PC. Mostly on sparkle it says recommendation 650, on asrock 700, on the tech power page 550. It's really confusing when you have different information.I even found a comment that someone uses 500w and it works without problems.

      @@rzkrdn8650 You are looking at outdated numbers, as the 6700xt nowadays is about as good as the 3070 and the a770 at launch was on par with the 6600 non-XT, but nowdays is close to the 3070.

      @@rattlehead999 nope it's not an outdated number, look it up on youtube, sort by upload date, a benchmark as early as 3 weeks ago confirms my statement. 3070 only stalemate with 6700xt if it is running out of vram (ultra texture/4k). It wins pretty much anything else.

    Does anyone have the intel arc a770 that would be willing to test the game dead by daylight from Steam and tell me how it runs as of 07/2024? Preferably when playing at high/ultra preset?? Heard that you might have to go into game properties and add "-DX12" to make it run better, but that info is a year old now, so I'm not sure if that is still true.

    What on Earth are talking about? On any monitor 60hz and higher 70ish fps will be butter smooth to the human eye and there will be no stuttering or tearing AT ALL. What is this new age pompous attitude thinking folks can really detect a difference without a horribly inaccurate fps counter app? Seriously at 60fps your in the sweet spot there is nothing slowing you down competitively, otherwise Consoles would have never been popular and totally unplayable by your reasoning. I have a 4090 and another system with older 2070 and 240hz 32" monitor. I have done this test with literally dozens of ppl and with graphics maxed not 1 person could tell me which was which, I mean the guess is 50/50 of course but the point is unless you are Data from Star trek, give it up you aren't going to see anything different. If you think fps numbers impress then you'd be wrong again, unless you can actually see that difference, the Extra $1200 is wasted.
