This day has brought much tears and emotions to me ….I say that because I am a descendant of Sampson Randolph, he was emancipated at the age of 65 years old along with the other Randolph slaves 🥹 to FINALLY find solid information on my ancestors has me very emotional for my family and I…..much much gratitude!!!!!

Wow!. I'm a African American from Clark Co, Ohio with strong ties to Charles Co, Maryland, Rockingham Co, VA, Madison Co, Ky, and Southern Ohio.
Researching my ancestry, I have discovered that I have a strong DNA connection to the Randolph's of Roanoke, Virginia. Although we are African American and are descendants of Free People of Color, I'm not too sure who exactly am I connected too only because my ancestry is quite complicated with large amounts of European DNA. Unfortunately, I have about 40% European DNA so it hard to figure out. I also know for sure I'm a DNA relative to Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings, etc as well. Nonetheless this was a excellent video and thanks for creating it.

None of these people were “African American” these are the indigenous peoples of the land. What you would call “Indian”. Also, we weren’t born slaves. False information in this video
