One thing worth mentioning about the 5008 - unlike the smaller 3008, you can’t get the 5008 as a plug-in hybrid model. This is probably because the batteries in the hybrid versions of the 3008 are also where the 3rd row seats would be in the 5008 - in the boot floor.
You guys are taking over what topgear used to be and has neglected ever since. Well done really good vid thanks for posting I aint got the slightest intention or ability to buy most of the stuff on here but enjoy it anyway.
Like your review style! Im looking in to buying a fatty boom-boom myself, and now i feel even more certain its a ok choice. The trunk cover can be shoved in just behind the 3 row before you fold them up, but its not very easy to do
@@CarGeordie Great. The other interesting thing is a top spec Superb is the same price as a base to mid spec E/5/A6 so is the better badge worth the sacrifice in extras and do you feel the quality in the NVH
Mark, did you had a chance to drive Skoda Enyaq? I have an inner fight.. should I lease a family-friendly Skoda Enyaq with a read window sunshades and a panoramic roof that I can open... or listen to my soon-to-happen mid-life crisis and go for Polestar 2 with 4.5 0-60...
Watching “family cars” reviews is actually very entertaining for childfree people who need a big car only to fit a roof tent and a kayak and other gear for your adventures 😂
Now that PSA has swallowed Fiat Chrysler I'm interested in what the Chrysler version of this car will be like...or will it be the Citroen that gets rebadged for the USA.
Have you swallowed a thesaurus recently? Mellifluous ? When was that last used in the English language, 1870 ? Brill vid though. You've no idea how relevant the touching cloth ref was when I started watching it.....
I love the car and I will have it... but God what happened with this reviewer... It did not show the magical screens ... the motor.. only comments that I could have made by myself
I have had German cars for decades (Audis , Merc GLC) and Lexus after poor experience with 2 x Citroens. Wasn't getting any good offers on GLB or Audi os dealers price matters service was poor with Audi make you go back repeated if you oil, brake service are different timing rather than the same. Had shit experience with mer where brake pad lights came up and mechanic said they were fine - clearly not at a repeat service so lied and mer said difficult to see pads- so why tell me they were fine Took plunge - with 2021 5008 love it, for 34K GT premium I would be paying 50K for Audi or Bmw or Mer. Dealer experience still shitty with Peugeot but drives well, spec good, electronic spec great lane assist parking works scarily
Peugeot have raised their own bar and now have the difficult task of making the next-gen even better

3 cylinder boost seems risky for the size
The luggage cover bar fits into two slots at the back of the seats. It's about half way down.
I have a peugot 508 gt line. I fell in love with the car steering wheel is sick and turns easier I cockpit sick. I love it

Excellent review I just got my 2008 GT . I love it
I'm so happy to have found you again after HonestJohn. Love your down to earth reviews!
Thanks Barry. Mark.
You, sir, have gained a subscriber!
Thumpingly good review.
Thanks David. Welcome! M.
15:58 I was expecting "hello darkness my old friend"
Would you (Mark) mind doing a comparison test with Peugeot 5008, Skoda Kodiaq and Dacia Jogger, representing the value side of the spectrum?
Luggage cover can be fit behind row 3 with all seats up
Wonder what’s better the Tiguan all space or the 5008 ? Would be nice to have an honest comparison
Thanks! Getting mine in a few days and after limited prior research I’m happy I found this video. Feeling excited now. Ta 😊
how did you like your 5008 so far?
@@Widar667 I love it. Have decided to buy it - after 3 years of leasing. Suits our family perfectly.

it is very easy, after 2-3 times you did it. honestly.
have to learn it, and than even kids can do it with eyes closed. my kids can, for sure. :)
Got one last week. Brilliant if you have 3 or more kids
"I'll just sit here touching cloth". Brilliant
What about the vw outspace mate?
French cars don't move the fusebox over for RHD which is why the glovebox is so small.
Great review, but despite having the family to haul around, I still couldn’t bring myself to ‘lease’ one. Will stick to squashing them into an estate.
Please review the latest Skoda Superb. I’m really interested on how the NVH compares to premium rivals. eg E class
It’s happening in a couple of weeks. 😁👊🏻

Peugeot seem to be making cars that I like the look of, which is a pity because I just can`t bring myself to buy one. Nice review Mark.
I got a 3008 last year, my first Peugot and I luuuuurve it
I was the same then I bought one and changed my mind completely.
I always thought
2008- c3 air- crossland
3008 -c4 air - grandland
5008 - c5 aircross -?? Missing car?
Very good point, probably because the 7 seat market isn’t big enough for 2 cars, and apparently a Jeep is coming in the same category instead
Is he driving the old model or the new one?
The new one, but not really much changed apart from the front bumper
@@oliverstemp9132 Really? The rear lights look like the one from the old model
@@lieutenantcandlewax they are slightly different
@@oliverstemp9132 7:01 the new model has blacked out taillights but this one has red taillights as seen on the old model
It’s the old infotainment screen, plus the new one doesn’t have cloth on the door.
Good job but you can get the petrol 1.2 in auto
When will the trend for these big ass car SUV things end? It will end, it won't just keep going on??
Probably never, they are what most people want
Ennui. I never heard that word before I read The Gashlycrumb Tinies. Somebody dies of it.

Looks weird and awkward both at the same time - that's an achievement, right?
The car - not Mark
I would choose a Mercedes GLB instead, I think the 5008 looks too fiddly.
