yes, they can be considered vtubers since they're real people that stream on TH-cam twice a week using mocap suits and these avatars. But they can also be considered a kpop group, even though they weren't formed through auditions. Instead, the leader was invited to join this project, then he invited 2 friends, and these 2 friends invited 2 other friends and thus the group was formed. They also aren't under the usual entertainment/music company. They work with Vlast, an animation and virtual tech startup that is in charge of the visual part, while the members are fully in charge of producing the music and creating choreography. Answering your question, they're not the first virtual artists in South Korea (see Apoki, Isegye Idol, etc) but they're the first to be gaining so much recognition in the kpoper community and not just the vtuber one. plave is such an awesome group and they are actually real life friends who decided to sing together. ive been a Plli aka fan since they debuted and i just fell in love with them ever since. they also do a live stream at least once a week on youtube for their fans and they are such amazing dancers, singers and rappers. my bias is Eunho i just fell in love with his personality and rapping skills aswell as his amazing vocals he has. also you have to react to their debut song ''wait for you'' also every single one of their Mvs are just so beautiful also a side note they beat Bibi and Le Serrifim for their first win on a music show and they even performed in front of their fans as well

So all the dancing and stuff is not “animated” but them wearing the mocap suit and dancing and all. This MV took 5 days to shoot. They do lives as well every week on their youtube channel, hopefully you can react more to them!! Their musiccores are all fun! (You can check up their dancing skills as well- they make the choreography of their own songs and it’s them dancing!!)
