Out of all the missions in the Undead Campaign, I do like the invasion of the high elves. Even if mechanically the missions aren't great thematically it feels the most like a war where as otherwise you are basically just trotting across the eastern kingdoms.

I do like the little changes like the Black Orcs having Forest Trolls, it’s little things like that stop me from full on hating reforged, and really seems to suggest it’s issues come more from time constraints more than anything. And, well, I’ve always played this for the camping, so a lot of the issues people seem to have haven’t really affected me.
I think you were looking at the wrong spot while searching for the bottom easter egg Jay . From what i remember from classic , the creep camp used to be excactly to the bottom . Perhaps you should check it , because that bottom creep camp was giving a sobi mask which if i am not mistaken is among your favourite items .
Ahh the Frost Wyrms, powerful and useful with their ability to freeze towers and production. Whether you play as them or not you can't deny that the undead get a variety of unique and cool units.
Yeah i'm doing the mission right now and by the time he get 2 camps i've been attacked twice as much lol, can't leave my base for more than 2mins , and every 2-3 attacks you get attacked by 2 diff directions lol, by 15-20 i ve been attacked by the red dragons twice and he has not seen any yet XD
this one's been killing me--no clue how I did it back in the day. finally caved and looked up gameplay. diagnosis: my micro sucks! couldn't even manage dark blue with the early army.

Ya know… I didn't notice this before, but I think you're right, Jay. The Scourge Campaign _is_ just a tad bit on the "bloated" side. Level 10 enemy heroes, lots of lesser heroes, tons of situations where you have to build from the ground up, lots of busywork… As much as I love the Scourge units… their campaign is kind of awful (in comparison to others).
Toughest mission on hard mode yet. You have to defend multiple sides but at the same time you have to make a move relatively fast because you will run out of gold or simply be overrun if you keep letting them build units. CPU definitely cheats on this one because it seems like the buildings are constantly in full unit production (at least when you kill anything off)

I don't know why, but as a kid I burned out every time at this mission and have never gotten further. I found the human campaign really compelling as a narrative and I loved stomping around as the undead in the first part of this campaign, but I always get bored fighting the elves. I guess... as undead I wanted to swarm human cities and play out my zombie fantasy from the other (undead) perspective. I wasn't all that interested in fighting elves, who show little fear of me even when I'm sacking their cities. They just get... angry. Or annoyed. So I lost interest by this point. Fun to get to finally see what lies beyond.
I was going through the comment section and saw some WC3:R comments, so I thought I would try to weigh in. Firstly, the overall reaction may be (it is, I am just trying to sound a bit more forgiving, but it most certainly is) an overreaction and the arguments may be repetitive, but how else does anybody expect ABstudios to get the fucking feedback, besides all the refunds and prevented sells. Atleast they dont have to go far, should they ever choose to fix some of the stuff, and that could be actually considered a good thing on haters' part. And I do actually believe it to be more often than not self-aware and genuine. Because they did really fuck up... Leading into my second point: they really did fuck up. Yep, the game is much better than that 0.2 on some websites. Cause the original game WITHOUT the bloody remaster was a "10/10" for loads of ppl already. They really had to do close to nothing, like with SC:R, to give us more. Yet they've fucked up so much more. Now, they did add some arguably, tho prbly, overall improvements, like the stacking consumables, some fixed frozen thrones mechanics, and, obviously, the graphics. But all that came with the online, classic v reforged, editor, and numerous buggy stuff attached to it. Plus the fucking prize and the fact, that even if I for example, wanted to keep playing classic, I couldnt because of the load time, data size and graphic demands that my computer just cannot pull off. Like, I can play the original and even Skyrim with some succes on it. Why cant I play just the classic WC version, huh Blizz? So that might quite understandably, imo, cause some overreach in fans' reaction. It sure isnt constructive, but you know what? Can you be constructive when arguing with such a greedy cold-hearted company like A-B? I actually dont think so. And I do think they care only about money now, so they do care about to-the-point-of-not-wanting-refunds happy customers and their image, somewhat. Cause good publicity is a good seller. Now will they use the bad publicity for even more of the good one, after they fix some of their issues? Yeah, prbly. Which is still in the future, and depends on how they will handle the key issues, but for now, I dont see why atleast some more negative backlash, just to keep the pounding, should hurt that much.
I tried out the stealing the workers trick. It’s really cool and interesting. It does not matter what factions workers you grab, they all become your color. I stole a worker from two different factions just to be sure. You can get a great hall which can be upgraded to stronghold but fortress is not available which means no tier 3 upgrades even though the icon is there. You can get brute strength, but no troll regeneration. The barracks makes grunts, troll axe throwers, demolishers and ogre magi. The spirit lodge has shaman training(again no tier 3) but trains warlocks not shamans. They can use all 3 warlock abilities, so I doubt adept training does anything. The bestiary trains raiders and goblin sappers. The dragon roost trains red dragons which are immune to magic and deal CHAOS damage, but with numbers far smaller than 3/3 upgraded frost wyrms, you can’t death coil them(that’s assuming doing so would even help them rather than hurt them because they live) and they don’t stop attacks/production. What’s more the peons won’t return gold to the necropolis, but ghouls can return to the lumber mill or stronghold.

I would or would not recommend the reskinned campaign for $40 relative to each person's disposable income, but lean towards not recommending it partially because I can't say in good faith it's really worth $40 for a campaign that we've already played for 15 years with all the other game features still broken or missing.
I feel like if blizz didn't over hype it and actually announced a soft reboot remaster nobody would have gotten mad but sadly they went for the quick money cash grab when in reality if they put in more time they could have outdone the original especially the extra cutscenes etc..
but if they add on some extra cutscenes or whatever people would be bitching about how "they(Blizzard) are just doing it because of WoW lore or whatever.". everyone is nitpicky.

You ain't alone in disliking the undead campaign. I flat out hated this back in the day and almost stopped my playthrough because of it. Besides all the annoyance related to the maps themselves, a lot of stuff with the transition between the human and the undead campaigns also rubbed me the wrong way. Arthas abandons his morals and humanity for reasons you can't fully get behind. The game, in my opinion, didn't do a very good job with Arthas' fall and he comes across as contradictory and childish with some of the shit he pulls at Northrend. But hey, at least he is now a badass, right? So even if you aren't with the story, at least you can enjoy the gameplay, right? Well, you get to enjoy the badass Frostmourne Arthas for half of one map, before they reset him into a whiny level 1 DK that has to run away from bunch of footmen. Couple that with the slow trickle of the undead tech tree while you are facing opponents with access to much higher tier units and higher level heroes. It's just... Ugh!
I am tired of gamers always overacting their disappointment, personally. People talk about this game like it's the worst thing ever, when really it is pretty OK. I get it : We didn't get as much as promised and it is sad that Blizzard lost its aura of overachieving. I actually agree. Yes it's more the fact that Blizzard in the past has made high quality games. However one of the biggest issues is that it messed with the original game. They delivered a product that did not have what it was promised in many regards. The polish is gone, the care in Blizzard for fans has fallen. It's mostly trying to wake up Blizzard to not go down the dark path of EA.
As for me one of the first things I noticed was Arthas original walk cycle was off. The portraits don't feel natural either, many characters barely move their mouth when speaking. However the thing we are being critical of is not the original game which was damn good we are bashing it on the remaster elements.
It’s actually decent for a remaster, including a few new levels and cinematics. However the reaction has been silly at best and self serving at worst. Gaming news channels hammered the game for a solid week just trying to drive up their views, which was incredibly hypocritical of them. Meanwhile the complaints have taken on this air of entitlement that has really just enhanced my enjoyment of Remastered.
Jay? Jay. If other people are sucking the fun or of playing v1.32, then you're clearly not playing it for you, anymore. Step back. Take another break, if need be. Then, just do what makes you happy. Preferably, instead of telling people to piss off. :/

Found this mission really difficult when I played it as a teen.
Yeah, either WC was never as tough as I remember it or Jayborino just makes it look easy.
You weren't as good at the game then as you are now. I felt the same way about SC1, WC3 and parts of SC2 that I find really easy now.

This mission has been buffed so much, its damn near impossible now. You see a miniscule amount of enemy units compared to their quantity now

There is one thing I wished wc3:r had that the original didn't have. Faster unit production based on how many of the same buildings were constructed.

Warcraft 2 orc army roster > Warcraft 3 Thrall Peace Corp roster. Ogres, warlocks and dragons are badass.

A downside to posessing a worker is that you have to rebuild their entire tech tree.
Though I do wonder if the Blackrock tech tree has Red Dragons.
I remember when I was a newbie, I tried to swarm the fel orc base with wyrms multiple times... did not go too well.

Does this mission in Reforged have forest trolls or Darkspear trolls as the orc's ranged unit? That always bothered me in the original game.

Uh… you're not doing yourself any favors with that ramble. To be honest, you sounded a little egotistical and "superior." What I got from that ramble was that nothing you did in a recording matters- that it's all past-tense.… done-and-over-with. If someone says you "should have" done this-or-that, then they're an idiot and clearly don't understand the point of this channel.
Actually, now that I've typed that, it doesn't seem like you've changed too much, over the years… And, that's fine. You're you, and you can _only_ be you. It's just… _disappointing…_ that you seem to have an ax to grind against some of your own viewers. Specifically, the "stupid" ones. So… yeah. That's a thing, I guess…
My ultimate point, though, is that I like your videos more when you're having fun, the best… and it doesn't seem like you're having much fun, here. I wish there was something that could turn that around, but I'm not sure attacking your viewers is the right solution.
