That sounded great. I'm new to drumming... waiting on my new kit to arrive. You mentioned in another post that you weren't sure if this channel was reaching people. I love your channel because of your simple yet effective camera angle. I can slow down the video to half speed to see exactly how you hold the sticks and their movement in your hands. You are so smooth. I never see you rushing anything. When I slow you down I then see all of the little subtle things you do that I just can't see at full speed. I'm amazed at how much is going on. I'm loving your videos! The guitar player was definitely on point! Thanks for sharing ❤
Wow great. This sounds all fantastic. I would be interested to know what kind of drums and snare you play here. Is it a single ply remo ambassador head on the snare? It sounds like that the snare is a bit damped but I see no muffling...maybe an internal damper? Thanks a lot for your answer in advance!
@@PB-hy1qi thank you very much! This is a 70’s Gretsch kit 20/12/16 with a 60’s Ludwig Acrolite snare. Coated Ambassadors all around. Snare does have the internal tone control just slightly touching the batter head.
The drums and you sound great. I have a 70’s Gretsch in the same finish but with a 18” bass drum. I’m trying to find a 20” in the same color. I also have a Acrolite, great snare which I bought new in 196) when I was 13. Great snare.
Excellent!!! 😊
Thank you!

Great drummer. Is that a vintage Gretsch kit? What sizes are they and what heads is he using? They sound great.
Thank you! Yes, I’m playing a 70’s Gretsch kit 20/12/14 with a 60’s Ludwig Acrolite snare. Coated ambassadors on everything including the bass drum.

50’s A Zildjians. 20” ride, 18” crash, 14” hats.

@@TaylorJonesDrums opposite. Bottom heads tighter.
@@vintagedrummer79 thanks for the reply. You’ve got them dialed in wonderfully on each song. Much respect.
