Good thinking securing the hose like that as you don't want it getting knocked loose in the middle of the night That filter cloth should catch a lot. Smart having so many drain holes in case or when it gets clogged. We are always trying to find better ways to filter out ponds Cleaning and definitely aerating your water. Nice job . Time will tell. Hope to see you Sunday!
Thanks Chris. I'm hoping it will work over time. It didn't happen over night, so I know it's going to take some time to clear up. In the meantime, I'm continuing to use the product you recommended on a weekly regiment. Keeping fingers crossed 🤞❤ See you Sunday my friend ❤
Thank you for the kind words. This is not a permanent filter. We're just using it to clear the weird algae out of the pond from the farmers spraying. ❤
New here from tuber chat! I love DIY items, especially for tanks! You can make great filters for a fraction of the cost of a named brand that work just as well!
Hi, I really don't see any difference in the pond with the UV. This Algae is like no other I've seen. I wish I knew what fertilizer, and pesticides they are using to spray from that plane. I have asked, but no one will tell me. Once we get the algae out, I will take down this filter, and put up a pretty bakki shower, that might help prevent this next summer. ❤
That's pretty cool for a big pond. I used a large clay flower pot on a small washtub size patio pond. It worked out quiet well. I placed some river rock and gravel under the poly fill. With the hole in the bottom it Drained into the pond. I just set a couple pieces of ceder 2x6 wood, to keep it setting over the pond. Thanks for sharing you little crate idea. Thought that would be useful to put plants in the holes also as added greenery around the pond. Like watercress. See. now you're giving me ideas. lol ... thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching. When I make a permanent bakki shower, that will compliment the pond, the. I will do that. Right now, we are trying to get this weird algae out of the pond from the farmers spraying the crops. Thank you for watching. ❤
This honestly was the cheapest way to go. The only thing I had to buy was the filter batting. It was 10 dollars at Walmart. I had made use of other bits and pieces I had around the farm. Since it's not permanent, I didn't let the fact that it's not attractive, stop me from putting it up. If this works as well as I'm hoping it does, I'll look into making a diy bakki shower, that will be more pleasing to the eye. Thanks for your kind words. ❤
After doing the experiment on my last video, it was the only way we could think of to get this weird algae out of my pond. 😂 We know it had to be removed with its own system. Hopefully it works. Thanks for watching Ty. ❤
@@Aquarium_Fantasy-HF Thank you for the kind words. I plan on doing some research into starting some water lettuce, sprouts, and other plants that I can harvest to eat. That will be coming up next spring. Thanks for watching. ❤️🤗
@@Flossenfreunde I have a UV installed, and 2 forms of filtration. You might have missed that I had outside events that contributed to the current issue I'm dealing with. Thank you for watching ❤️🤗
Now that looks promising! Can't wait to see an update now!
Looking forward to the next update. Thanks for sharing Christine ☺️

@@sweetkoiyo is there a way that in the future you could cover the ponds when they’re spraying?

The pond is looking amazing. I am also jealous of that workshop 😅. What other plants are you going to add to the pond 😮

liked up!!!!41!!!!hi Chris!!!rock on!!
its catching stuff for sure, maybe you gotta shake up the bottom to get the stuff from the bottom too?
wow you even put hubbies stuff back,,,, i didnt know wives knew how to do that :p
Maybe it would be nice if you build a big filter for your Koi. And you have to install a UVC lamp. Then you can see Fish on the ground in the Pond.
