The uv lights can go much longer then 8000 hours (working) but they lose there power to kill after 8000h. the light will work for years but wont be effective.
A drum with a bio chamber or bakki shower is the only way to go, if you cant afford a drum then a Nexus and bead filter. That box filter from mountain is on par with the epic compact plus by waddypete. Probably cost the same as a drum filter. But love your videos

Pump fed means pump in pond sending water to filter, gravity fed means connected to pond and pump pulls water out of filter and the drop in water level within the filter creates a self leveling action where gravity pushes water from pond back into the filter
🤔 Those filter mats are too coarse to be effectively. They should make them between 30 & 50 PPI for them to actually contribute to the clean of the water. That’s also not enough bio media for a small pond.

Should of got a nexus 320. A lot less cleaning than all the sponges and brushes.
