    That head flinch is not a bug, it’s actually placed there for flinch. When the character does that it’s a visual indication the enemy your shooting at is being in accurate for a short time during the flinch. The flinch only initiates when flesh (health pool) when you have shields your character does not flinch nor does the model of the character. You can test this by going to the firing range, bring the dummy’s shield to low and then that shot that cracks the dummy you will see the head have a whiplash effect like the Bangalore when she got cracked. Every flinch after is less violent.

      Interesting! Figured it wasn't a bug, just thought it was funny how significant the movement was.

    Hey man, this is a great video! Its something I've looked into and thought about a lot myself. I love your system and everything you mention in your video! I just wanted to throw out there that Kovaak's scenario 'Narrow Strafe 3' helped me break the urge to track the body and not the head a lot. Rather than tracking a pill moving back and forth, it's a humanoid which strafes and jumps at a high speed. Only 1,100 people have played it, but I noticed a meaningful difference in my aim within a couple days. So if anyone else out there happens upon this comment and has Kovaak's, I think combining this video and that scenario is an amazing way to improve.

    I dont know u but this got me emotional. The video so well build up, it almost follows a classic 3 act story structure. Your voice is good. The suprise use of ChatGPT is a fun twist. It only missed some kind of event in act III that u needed to beat. Maybe the footage of a whole game :P Btw I think that 6 days of learning on a new sens is just the beginning, there is much more potential. I feel that after a while (tracking) aiming becomes completely subconsious, especially if u focus on the enemy like you said. I recently switched from 29cm to 25cm in Overwatch on Tracer because I looked at proplayers settings and the very best are around that setting. I practiced systematically every day for weeks and I found that only on day 21(!) the transition was done. ie: i killed a monkey and his corpse bugflied away into the sky and i perfectly tracked it and was like: wtf did i just do? I dunno why Im typing all this. Its for the algorythm i guess :D

    Last season of cod MW2 (newest one) There was an event where you needed to hit x number of headshot kills to unlock skins for weapons. At first it was really tough and I couldn't hit more than one headshot a game, but by the end I was killing at least 1/3 of people with the last shot being a headshot and almost every encounter had at least one. This little event had a really good impact on my skills and trained me to hit heads more often and I genuinely started doing averagely better in every match from then on.

  • @BeetleSkyGames
    @BeetleSkyGames ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Something I like to do is create a custom game in COD and set it to headshots only and Free for All. I make the time limit 15 minutes and set the kill limit to "Unlimited." I fill the lobby with bots and start match one by bringing the center of my screen to the enemy's head before before I ADS. Once that 15 minute block is finished I start the round again but with a different focus. Sometimes I practice staying in constant motion while hitting headshots or keeping my crosshairs at head level and training them on corners as I move around the map. Another thing I like to do is use a 15 minute block picturing the enemy's positions based off of the info on the mini-map then I jump out from cover attempt a headshot as quickly as possible while making sure I don't miss. Spending another block ONLY shooting from cover is another fun drill you can do. It helped me bring my ranking in COD Multiplayer from top 4 million just below the top 200,000. Hopefully someone else finds this useful. Besides being good practice it's a lot of fun.

    I dunno if it's cause it's montages, or partly because you're not playing against pro level players (?), but your aim at your best honestly looks the best of any player in this game. great and entertaining video!
    I think its often overlooked that many things, when it comes to settings, also depend on who you are playing against. In theory yes, focusing on headshots only is a great thing to try out, however if you're playing against a really good player and I mean really good, they will use strafing, ducks all in an unpredictable way making it way harder. What you truly need is physical adaptation for those fights, that's how you actually improve...SO always see improving and testing settings in contrast to how good the people are you're playing against and adapt!

    Great video as always Struth!
    I noticed you use a heavier mouse and the white equate control mousepad.
    Consider a peripheral combo with lower static and dynamic friction to allow for easier tracking at a low sensitivity. Glass mousepads (or speedpads), glass skates, sub 60g mice, all help with micro adjusting and switch track scenarios and can help your fine motor mouse control and speed at which you can quickly switch directions while tracking.
    Vor3z for example has one of the best Apex tracking aim I've ever seen and he uses: m42 wireless, 1.2 @ 800 dpi and the skypad 3.0. e36_aimbot is a similarly skilled and geared player as well. Irrpa on the other hand, uses 2.7 at 800 dpi with the skypad 3.0 (if you still wish to have a faster sens).
    Your ability to flick is insane (those kraber shots tho- wow) and it shows its easier for you to stop on a dime, but perhaps you could benefit from those quick moving/switch track scenarios. Cheers dude ur cracked happy aiming.

But I have handful of friends who aren't as well off and always ask for advice.. but I'm never really sure how to put it into words or give them any kind of worthy information because it's kinda just how I've always played, right? Loved the tip about the muted audio, this is a huge one and just as important as finding a playlist that helps you get into that flowstate easily. I think camera/crosshair placement is another really big one to go along with your focus on the target point, I see a ton of people looking near the ground & bottom half of the screen instead of head/chest level. Huge believer in arm over wrist as well and I do feel like arm is more effective.. but that could just be bias speaking lol.

    It's better to go for chest shots and finish with headshots, you'll hit more bullets. The TTK might be a bit higher this way, but the odds of hitting your shots are higher, which outweighs going for headshots only (missing unnecessary bullets). Especially with flinching. Going for chest shots also allows for better recoil control and it puts less stress on your arm/wrist/fingers so you manage to play more accurately for longer. Going for headshots only is fun, but it's absolutely not more beneficial (at this moment in time that is, at some time in the future everyone will be playing as aimbots, which is an inevitability and the entire dynamic of playing games will change, but that's a whole other discussion to be had). And you should look further into soldier flinching (randomly? always the same? how much damage?) so you can start anticipating when that happens and compensate before or when it happens (you might say I'm crazy, but this was my way of thinking back when I still played games: analyze and optimize everything).
    Your tracking and everything else is pretty solid, but you should try playing with a higher sensitivity or higher intensity. Higher sensitivity equals faster aim, which will truly allow you to play like an aimbot. For higher intensity, I will refer to Top Gun, in which Mr. Cruise shows us how it's done, copy that intensity in your game and you'll become unbeatable.

      I would recommend it for people with above average aim. Perhaps not as long as 10 days, I didn't have a huge amount of time per day to commit to it so I needed more days in total.
      Newer aimers probably won't quite reap the same benefits, but It's probably still a good idea to try for a session every now and then.

    • @PurrkourCat
      @PurrkourCat ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @yeysbaws
    @yeysbaws ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The last statement that you made is the biggest problem I have now, I can't actually focus on the enemy, that's my biggest problem, another problem I have especially with APEX is I prioritize learning movement more than aim! Sure it looks cool, it gets you out of fights (Sometimes), but the biggest underlying problem with that is; my instinct is always, Do movement like tap strafe or ras strafe or find a close wall to wall bounce or object to superglide on when reloading for example, because I can't hit my shots. What I'm trying to do now is, play TDM, ignore healing HP and just shoot, take 1v1s even with half HP. God I really hope I break this bad habit soon because it's annoying and actually frustrating! I just want to share and maybe someone can help me out as well in the comments. thanks!

    • @StruthGaming
      @StruthGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      As you can probably tell from my footage, I haven't learned movement yet. It just doesn't really interest me so I try to win fights with raw aim (this is a bad habit if you want to become the best player you can be, but for what i'm doing now it's more enjoyable).
      When you're fighting and doing movement, you'd be surprised at how much more deliberate you can be by thinking about what you're going to do for just a moment. Instead of reactively trying to throw movement tech and PK flicks, taking just a moment to think about what movement you're about to do and where you're about to aim can go a long way without actually slowing you down.

    • @MikeGrau0hr
      @MikeGrau0hr ปีที่แล้ว

      im a apex player aswell, enjoying tapstrafing/supergliding a lot! still learning ras strafing myself but ill give my opinion:
      sounds like u rely on movement INSTEAD of coverplay.
      movement in high elo is just the way to get to a posi where ur able to trade good dmg *with aim and coverplay.
      u should never plan on reloading in the open infront of enemies where u would need to 180tapstrafe to stay alive.
      so try and plan better ahead what cover ur about to play (heady before shoulderpeek etc) and u naturally dont need to move so much while shooting :) gl hf dont die!

      i can't do any movement, the best movement i can do is just superslide...
      usually i use pk and i really depend on my hipfire flicking, how i shot is not by looking crosshair nor enemies, when i do movement or fast speed things, i can't really looks at anything and just shot then somehow knocking enemies.
      i think if you can do crazy movement, you can use "feeling", you know where your enemies are and where they stand for taking cover behind wall or box, you can just go in fast and shot at that direction

    very interesting experiments with aim! love it. but I think it's a bad habit. in the apex you often finish shooting the enemy, remembering and counting his hp. if your damage is unstable (and headshots are very unstable), you can either react to the death of an opponent for a long time (average reaction time is 200ms), or incorrectly calculate damage and undershoot. I haven't seen pro players care much about headshots, except on a craber

      With your ADS sens set to 1 in Apex Legends, it adjusts it using focal length scaling. So any changes to hipfire also change ADS sens.

      On 1200 DPI, .78 in-game, my hipfire is 44.4cm/460. The ADS sens of 1 on the same settings makes my 2x scope go down to 95.3cm/360.

I have tried various gaming mice designed for claw grip like the ZA13, XM1R, HTS+ with all of these mentioned above giving me pain near the underside of the pinky knuckle. I also noticed that my office mouse with a negative camber has always been comfortable for me (it has a wider back hump than the shroud SE) and also ergo mice not giving me the same pain, my question lies in whether you would recommend the shroud edition for 17.5x10 hands or would it be too wide where the negative camber starts ?

      I know the struggle. My go-to is ensuring that i'm focusing on my target and not just 'looking' at them. This helps massively with reactivity and reading their movement, suddenly it feels like they're moving in slow motion.
      Is your own movement throwing off your aim by any chance? Being conscientious of how your own movement impacts you aim can be important.

      @@StruthGaming how brother thanks for the reply! in regards to my own movement, i anti mirror strafe, and only so ras strafes etc when reloading. focusing on the target makes a huge difference for me in aim trainers, but in apex is soooo so difficult for me aye. no matter how much i tell myself to watch and focus the enemy and track it with my eyes, i just seem to not do it as soon as the shooting starts because of all of the visual clutter and the the effects going everywhere mannnnn it’s so hadd

    • @StruthGaming
      @StruthGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Focus in modern shooters is not easy with how much is going on, that's for sure. There is a weird thing you could try that i've had some success with. Play a few rounds of the LTM modes with your game sound completely muted. This removes a bunch of random stimuli and lets you just use your eyes. That can help ease you into focusing, or at least show you what focusing in Apex is meant to feel like.
      You'll randomly die to people you should have heard, but that's just the cost of doing business :)

    I know this is stupid but this video should really come with a disclaimer.
    If a normal human being tries to do this they are just going to get absolutely shredded for... Forget 10 days possibly 10 months? Probably longer. The level of aiming skill required to do this consistently isn't emphasized nearly enough and your seemingly casual ability to adjust is probably the biggest unintential humble brag I have ever seen.
    At the start of the video the disclaimer should be: "Aim god only challenge" or something. Being humble about your skill is a nice thing but this level of humbleness is bordering on the misleading to be honest haha.
    Great video.

      @@dripzzzy-1-274 sorry dripzzzy-1-, to be more clear. This guy has absolutely INSANE aim. If you had a thousand mnk players and asked them to do this challenge and looked at their results after 10 days of solely doing this challenge they would still not be anywhere near as accurate as this guy. Like not even in the same realms of accuracy. Or do you think it's easy and anyone could do it after ten day?

    • @StruthGaming
      @StruthGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a tricky line to walk, at the start I mentioned the time i've spent aiming and reaching a great level of aim which I figured would work as a disclaimer. Perhaps could have included a bit more info. Sorry about that!

    • @StruthGaming
      @StruthGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To clarify it was about 1h~ per day, sometimes more sometimes less. Originally was going to be a 7 day challenge but I just didn't have enough time per day to work on it.
      The gameplay was highly focused though, so improvements were efficient. 1h of focused gameplay trumps 8 hours of autopilot.

    As an apex only player- ADS for longer than .5 seconds at close range is why you were unable to keep up with them. Hipfire is essential in this game. I know it’s a headshot only video, but it’s just not possible to do that practically in this game and stay alive Your mouse sens is ONLY for hipfire/ looking, with ads multiplier being your ads sens, which you typically want to keep relatively low, maybe with a .1 boost if your a high sens player

    • @StruthGaming

      The first grip video I did over on the KovaaK's channel actually featured a Model D. I recommend this grip for any mouse - th-cam.com/video/bidR6lJBcRI/w-d-xo.html
      Depending on certain shapes there will need to be little tweaks here and there. Like on the g502 you have that thumb guard thing, so your thumb won't be able to grip it quite as low.
