Phones With Built in Projectors! What Are They???

  • As it turns out, there's a whole class of phones out there with built in projectors! They're niche, rare, and most notably, no longer produced. But what do these unique smartphones really offer? Let's delve in to find out.
NOTE: One omission I forgot to record was battery life! But I'm happy to report that the Galaxy Beam2 got almost exactly 2 hours of play time in, the Moto Mod with just over an hour and 10 minutes, and the Magicon Ayane QS4 not even managing 2 hours. Also, the Moto mod actually DOES leech off the phone for power once the battery is depleted! But since my phone's battery is in awful health, I can't provide accurate stats.

I found this video bc I was googling to find projector phones bc I thought all the tech out there that we have there has to be smartphones that can project or maybe they’ll incorporate it in an upcoming phone. If they could please get on this again that would be so amazing, I imagine if they did better marketing about a new phone with this ability they’d see there’s a bigger market for it than they realize. Teachers and schools for one thing so much easier for so many different uses. I need an iPhone with a projector like yesterday.

There is a brand called 8849 that produces a series of projector phones. The projection effect is very clear and the battery capacity is huge at 23800mAh, which is suitable for everyone, especially special professions and outdoor enthusiasts.

Great review and presentation. One application the companies may consider is the gamers. A tablet is decent with a larger screen but playing on the phone is painful and limited. Perhaps this aspect may be the pinnacle of relaunching this concept for a wider usage by many.

I remember syria in 2013 where people in my small town used to watch movies in the streets on these phones because the electricity would be out and few had any good internet... so one guy will rip a dvd on a flash drive and basically shows and tells.

I would say the phones that don't have a focus wheel are using the laser mechanism that's licensed from I can't think of the company where as the other ones are using focusing optics to get over the focusing issue that the lasers don't have.
I didn't know there was so many!

Another downside is once the operating system is not updated you're stuck with a OK projector that you can't do anything with. I was at some thing where this person had a presentation on a phone with I want to say the Motorola but I could be wrong. It was far too bright in the room but it wasn't neet but it was one of those yeah you would've been better off just bringing a regular projector pick your battles. I decided to get a laser pico projector that I can connect to anything but they're hard to find because most of the pico ones are LED but I wanted the laser version as it wouldn't be as bright but I wouldn't have to focus it and it remains focused on oddly surfaced walls. Well must make you so far has been above my bed which is great I wish laser projectors would get a little bit brighter and cheaper and higher quality but right now I think there's only one company with the patent on the chip structure.

I have owned Samsung Galaxy Beam, SG Beam 2, also one tablet with built-in projector. Now i have Voga V which have built-in 720p laser projector.
I'd avoid that Akyumen guy, he's a con man! Already years ago, way before any pandemics almost fell an offer of his promises when he said if i'd pre-order then i'd get my phone in month or two. Luckily i decided to wait until i hear news from other buyers confirming thwy got their phones. As it was stated then in their webpage already then they had sold out batch or two. Fastforward to present, low and behold still not a peep from a single alleged buyer. I'm amazed how this guy isn't in prison already.

the instashare projector moto mod is readily available on ebay, and if you keep an eye out the galaxy beam2 often shows up (but is expensive) and the magicon ayane qs4 is impossible to find as far as im concerned
