The problem is they extended the age from 62 to be fully vested as we were promised and now it is 67 and that is violating the contract I signed as a minor without being able to call my parents for advice to sign the contract for SS.

There is a lot of talk about us being helped but when? I went and asked for help with m rent and I uave 3 people trying to pay my rent but my apartment building isn't cooperating with them. I get paid of course on the 3rd and that's when my rent is due. Sept 4 I received an eviction notice. My car died. They say when it rains it pours. I'm just ready to give up.
I have been waiting since May for a judgment for retro pay that was approved in August of 2023 from a hearing May 2023. Each time I call in to my local office they come up with different answers as to why it is being held up. They are so backwards over there that when a request for a rush to be applied, it slows down the process. For them to hold up those retro pay there should be interest added for the waiting period. Obviously, they can only charge you interest, not you charge it back.
And when you ask for help they refused to help you pay rent and don’t have enough money to pay your bills or food you go to get help they tell you don’t qualify they don’t care how much your rent or your utilities bills they don’t care I have had to cry out to the Lord because I was hungry and so was my animal which is a moral support dog they didn’t care I went to the corner store picked up a cash five ticket and I won $350.00 I was able to buy food for me and my dog now I live with my sister just so I can eat I’m crying as I type this message but it’s the truth God pls come get your children soon but I must yet hold on until you come for your children long as I got you Jesus I know you care and you love me so I’m waiting patiently on the Lord. Amen
If we had at least a cpi Based on seniors expenses it would help. We have had horrible inflation they really need to do something to help seniors. That cpi -E would at least help.

It needs to go up another 25% just so the low income and fixed income people can survive! There are so many things that people don't take into account. For instance, I'm 59 years old, I'm disabled, but I don't get disability because I'm on Medicaid. Disability couldn't even come close to paying me enough to cover all the medical expenses that Medicaid covers. My spouse is now retired and collecting SSDI and trust me, we live very modestly. We can't cover all our regular bills now without borrowing or getting help from family. 38.6% would only make it so we can pay our bills, it wouldn't improve our quality of life at all. We live in a motel. Its basically a studio apartment with a living/bedroom combo, full bath, full closet and a small kitchen. We can't afford hobbies or going out to eat or going to the movies. We can't afford to go on any trips. Not even to visit our kids that live in the same state! So you tell me how the pitiful, pathetic little increases are going to help me?

Where I live food has or seems to have gone up by double. I used to pay about 400.00$ a month now it is $800.00 to $1000.00 a month
