I keep getting the “you must download and start Minecraft 1.21 once in the official launcher” message when attempting to download using the optifine installer. Any fixes?
I'm confused as per normal I thought you dropped the optifine download into your mod folder after you installed forge. Its worked until 1.20.6 there's never been a forge version since. Their all N|A.

hi, i'm having problems with optifine - the game loads fine but when i load into a world, after about 3 or 4 seconds, the screen goes to like, the sky texture, and everytime i pause it goes black. i loaded up minecraft without optifine, and it didn't do this. do you know how to fix this?

Create a profile for 1.21, not 1.21.1, and launch it. On Launcher window, go to Installations, select new installation and under version select 1.21 and create. Optifine doesn't seem to have a version for specifically 1.21.1 yet, rather just 1.21
If you mean iris yes it is out. Personally I've been playing the fabulously optimized 1.21 beta on curseforge since it tends to run better than optifine for me.
When iam using fabric 1.21 my loading screen showing not responding and it stucks there and never came but when iam using release 1.21 their is no problem please help me to solve this issue

To be honest, since Optifines been away, Iris and Sodium have been running smoother than Optifine ever was for me.
Yeah, Iris + Sodium is generally better than OptiFine.
The only reason I use optifine is for texture packs

i actually recommend optifine if you have a core 2 quad and core 2 duo and have paired it with a really potato gpu
when i press play my gui is messed up and changing the gui in game doesnt fix it
