@@dannyg402012 Mini 3 is definitely better than the mini 2, the mini 3 has better flying performance, better low light video, longer flight times, quieter in the air, can take the extended battery for even longer flight times, can rotate camera to vertical.
Can you please do another review but now from the viewpoint of a cyclist. This is what I want to know: 1. How fast can you get it in the air? Fastest would probably be in optical flow mode without the phone. Is that possible? Can you turn off GPS with on controller if you want? How long does it take to get satellites? It's all about saving time. 2. Can you turn off updates and all kind of warnings to speed up the process? 3. How well does it work when riding a bike? It's strange, but I very few videos of people flying a DJI Mini manually while riding a bike. The drone could be too fast! 4. Is there a way to update homepoint without going into the settings. Or is there a setting to always update auto-homepoint? You do not want having to race all the way back to where it took off! 5. Does the DJI app have virtual sticks? I would buy a DJI Mini 4k if it works with Maven, Litchi, or Dronelink. But DJI hasn't released the SDK yet. A third party app will add optical tracking, GPS follow-me, plus a bunch of other features. The Neo could be better too with a third party app. Anyhow, people get a drone to film their activities. So I think you should include this in your reviews.
1. It takes time to connect to satellites. Wait until the drone gives you the go ahead. No rush. 2. It is important that you update the drone for safety updates and warnings can save you from crashing. 3. Hard to ride a bike and fly the drone. There is no tracking modes. 4. You can update the home point once the drone is flying through the settings. 5. Yes, I believe it does.
@@DansTubeTV Obviously you have no experience with cycle touring. Thousands of cyclists fly drones from their bike. Nobody uses is DJI's active-track. They all fly manually with the sticks. Or use GPS follow-me with Litchi or Maven if they have it. What you want is a drone you can launch instantly. If it takes minutes you are not going to bother and just move on. You still have to pedal 100 kilometer that day. Can't spend half an hour 20 times a day for a selfie shot. And that is the reason why the HoverAir and Neo are so popular. You can get them in the air within seconds. Actually the Neo would be a whole lot better if it had a nice small cheap Wifi controller for pure optical flow. A quick gyro calibration and you're off. No wait for satellites. I mean try use the phone touchscreen with that inner outer circle thing of the Mini 4 Pro when riding a bike. Impossible. After 2 tries the feature is so annoying you're never going to use it again. DJI makes the best drones. But they completely fail to understand how hikers and bikers use drones in real life. It just ain't their thing.
@@DansTubeTV There is this Ameta S20 Lite. It's a $100 drone with optical flow only. No GPS, no image stabilization. But the camera is pretty good. And it does have an sd card. And because of that you don't need to mess with a phone or wait for satellites. You get it out of your pocket, 2 seconds gyro calibration, fly it 20 meters far, click click for a photo, and put it back again. See, that you can do 30 times a day! Perfect to share pictures later that evening on social media. So I may buy one to prove my point! It's not always about shooting super quality landscape videos. For your cycle tour it is much more important how quick you can get it in the air. If you can't use a drone you won't have any footage at all! The whole reason I started with drones it to save time. So I don't have to get off my bike, put a camera somewhere, alk back, ride past, walk back again to pick up the camera, put it back in the carrying case.............. I don't work for National Geographic! And that is why I asked about the DJI Mini 4k. How fast can you launch it? If it is longer than half a minute it's pretty much useless.

I love the DJI Mini 2 - one of my favourite designs and features in a mini drone!
Agreed, still an amazing drone!
I had the Mini 2 for years and loved it, but in the end i upgraded to the Mini 3 and now i love that.
I had the Mini 2. Mini 3 is nice but not much of an upgrade, and more expensive than the Mini 4k.
I'm leaning more towards the Mini 4k

The Mini 3 is a nice upgrade from the Mini 2! Thanks for watching my videos 👌

The 4k is really the mini2 without the front light
Basically 😅
I have the Dji mini 4k is a amazing drone
Agreed, love it. Connect with me here: linktr.ee/danstubetv
But i got a question is there any cool things I can do with it
Yes, you can take stabilised video in 4K. Capture nice images and use the intelligent flight modes.
