    The bevel jig and file guide are both from TR maker for anyone wondering. Not being paid to showcase it or anything, just a great product and great service.

    Dope AF results, @99echo! This would fit right in at a high-end sporting goods catalog and/or retailer!

    How long did you let this etch in the ferric chloride? Thats the best finish ive ever seen!

    • @99echo
      @99echo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Usually 30 mins then check it for coverage, hit it with the steel wool and etch it again for 30.

    My friend for only being at this game for 1 1/2 years you have developed your talent extremely well..I think you have a natural gift...and your background in graphic design shows in your work......now let's see some mongo fighting knives....lol

    • @99echo
      @99echo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words! It's been a fascinating journey for sure. Still lots to learn but loving every bit of it. Which ones are the mongo knives?

    • @sgtrock6213

      @@99echo mongo is just slang word for Large.....I really like large fighting style knives...Bob Loveless one of the best knife makers ever used to make some beautiful ones...if your not familiar with his work you should google him up fascinating man...

    man i am amazed by the fact that everything looks free handed. Are you self learned or is this just the gift of experience?

    • @99echo
      @99echo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha that kind of sounds like a backhanded compliment - should it look freehanded? Lol yeah self taught man, only a year and a half in. I have a background in graphic design which I like to think helps me out. You should check out my insta. Some of my favorite work on there that I unfortunately didn't film.

      @@99echo sorry if it sounded rude. It was meant to be praise, i just worded it weird. But the fact yourself taught gives me hope that i can to XD. I guess it gives tonnes of freedom to create whatever knife preference you want. It is always satisfying watching the vids. I will defiantly check your insta, count me as a free follower XD

    • @99echo

      Haha all good, it was funny. Yeah, get on it! My earlier vids are a little more informative. And you're right, I really do whatever kind of knife I can think up.

    How do you know how much to grind off the spine and the tanto edge to bring the 3 lines together perfectly on both sides?

      very much thanks. I agree on the kydex - I actually got some smaller rivets to reduce the profile size on future builds
