- During the Second World War, the German Army caused chaos inside of the different lands that they occupied. They quickly settled into life in new countries, and in France they often visited the brothels inside cities such as Paris. However the Germans established many German Military Brothels across different towns and countries, and the women who were forced to work in here were kidnapped from all over Europe.
Many of these women were taken from their homes in countries such as Poland and Ukraine, and they then were forced to work in the German Army's brothels. These women suffered greatly and heavily at the hands of the Wehrmacht officers and soldiers, and there were very few who actually managed to escape their horror.

I agree! This is a great channel, however these women were willing traitors. When millions are dying, fighting, losing limbs, being tortured, castrated and raped, it’s essential to stay loyal to your side. Treacherous behaviour, whether man or woman, has consequences. Hindsight it’s easy to be empathetic when you have no emotional, patriotic, financial or any sort of relative ties with these mostly long dead women.
Let’s look at this objectively and not look at yesterday’s truth with today’s goggles. ✨

Thank you for sharing. I did not know about this horrible part of the war. I feel sorry for these women and what they endured. Whether it was their choice for a chance of food or shelter or they were forced to do it, they were all victims.
It seems to me that they were forced either way.....die of starvation or be executed for disobedience....it's pretty disgusting!!!!
That is so shocking how many of the young women were treated in those wartime brothels. That is another dirty secret of the Nazis.

The irony is that when the German troops moved out, in many cases the Allied troops moved in. And after wars end, how these women were treated was disgusting. Place yourself in their place, what would you do to survive. Did the Jewish Inmates in concentration camps that assisted the Germans in the Annihilation of over 6 million receive the same treatment. Neither should have been treated with acts of Vengeance, all they wanted to do was live. Don't we all.
Why are you dancing around naming these crimes committed? Simply state exactly what was done to these women, they were trafficked, enslaved and forced to work in brothels against their will and raped multiple times per day. Who is going to remember history if everyone is too afraid to state these vile crimes?
During war or total collapse women become a commodity. It isn't right but it is reality.
I understand the concept of managed brothels to keep the soldiers from being unfit for combat due to venereal disease, but the way the Nazis went about collecting women to work in them was horrible. And the Germans who murdered these poor women should have faced summary execution.

This has tangential meaning for me. A friend of mine had an aunt that (purportedly) was either a 'bar girl' or a prostitute at one time. Even after immigration to the U.S. she never completely came clean one way or the other.
Some do it because they have no choice, others enjoy it. They are all someones daughters, sisters, fellow humans..

Growing up in West Germany, I have been told a lot about those alleged mass rapes of German women ar the hands of Soviet soldiers. I have not been told anything about those brothels. Could that be that they wanted to spare us from the thought that our grandfathers were rapists and murderers? Somehow the idea spread that the atrocities had only been committed by the SS, not the common soldier.
How convenient then to distract the kids by stories of raping Soviets, contrasted by liberating Americans.
Later research revealed that the scale of rapes committed by the Red Army was not much higher than that of other allied armies.

A request for a narration re-do. Not once is the term "systematic rape" or "brutal sexual assault" employed anywhere herein. Thus, such wording as "working in brothels" are decisive euphemisms for ordeals and forms of torture truly horrific.
For that matter, do remove the term "cat house," which seems to jovialize these residences for rape.

You're right, those women were some of the forgotten victims of WWII and their stories deserve to be told.
Just imagine - some of those women were assaulted by up to 32 men a day !!! And visiting soldiers (?) had to pay 3 reichsmarks for 15 minutes of "fun". Well that means their Army could be considered as pimps. From all points of view a disgusting behavior, but this does not surprise me considering the fact that we are talking about monsters. These were the true subhumans (Untermenschen), as they used to call people who were not Aryens. I pray for all of those poor women. 😪🙏😪🙏😪

Have you conducted a survey of Military Brothels in non - axis countries? What would be the findings?
In europe They were willing but some did it out of necessity for food and money. In Japan the Japanese set up the brothels for US Gis and it actually became a thing since many married the US soldiers and sailors. It’s not really comparable to the forced nature of the Germans and Red army where they forced woman then killed them after.

@@mikloridden8276 the assumption that the war between the Allies and the Axis powers was a conflict between good and evil is false. It is WW2 propaganda of the Allies. To the extent that Japan fought hand in hand with others together i.e., freedom fighters of Asia, to end Western colonial domination of Asia, it was a ' Just War '. Western colonialism was an evil proposition. It had to be beaten to the ground which Japan succeeded in doing though it lost the war after making the biggest blood sacrifices for an Asian country.

Two of my uncles fought on the Western front. When the Army company their were in found out about the atrocities the German soldiers committed, any German soldier they found they took them behind a barn, a hedge and beat them to death. There was nothing but shock and a burning desire to make any German soldier pay for what they did. And if individual Army soldiers witnessed any Russians mistreating a German female, they simply walked away.
I read that sex between Germans and "non-Aryans" such as Slavs was strictly forbidden, so I was surprised that Russian and Polish women were targeted as brothel material.
God is never mocked… the German women paid the price for what was done to the other women by their army.

A German professor in of my snobby "Dr. Charles Xavier's Hogwarts for Gifted Mutants" high school who wore a medieval gown with a dagger belt buckle tried to recruit Jewish girls into Joy Division while another professor published the "Mili Hunk Herald".
Out of my 300 books on the 3rd Reich I dont recall seeing anything about kidnapped women for brothels. Although I do believe women and men were forced to relocate to Germany to work there,the brothel story can't be too common. Like i said, never read anything like this. This makes me believe this is a big exaggerated. Yes, I aware of the brothels the gemans were using however poor women subjected themselves to that life out of desperation for food or survival for themselves and their families. Because they served a very needed service for the army,they fell under the army jurisdiction and would not be murdered as stated here. Many women served as spies for the allies or partisans. Here I would think they would meet a grizzly death, once found to be serving the German enemies.

It is a literal fact and has been proved that the camps had several brothels in each one of them as a reward for Kapos or camp personnel.

It was highly illegal to be gay in Nazi Germany. Gays were put in concentration camps where they were raped and murdered by the SS. Later in the war, when Germany needed more soldiers, they forced gay men to join the wehrmacht. I am not so cinvinced that those men were inclined to rape other men.

Previously we used to have workers being torn apart in factory machinery and abused by bosses with canes and whips until there was legal recognition of their rights and decent, safe working environments.
So long as we continue to have no legal recognition of safe working practices for sex workers, and no legal protections for sex workers, the same exploitation that manufacturing workers experienced will be experienced by sex workers.
This is a direct comparison and you'd be blind not to see it.
I'd call my self a feminist and I'm a man, but you'd be fooling yourself if you thought this is a women's only issue mate. Male sex workers exist too and if anything their grievances are ignored more because they're expected to just stick it out and "man up" if they been exploited.
Sex work is just as much work as being a pornographic actress is, except I don't see you here defending the abuse that they experience within some workplaces because that is now outlawed. If we had the same rights for actual on the streets sex workers we wouldn't have these horrors stories of women who have been raped and abused and have no legal routes for recompense because their line of work is considered too icky and illegal to legally defend.
