Akai S2000 Disk Formatting Demo

This video demonstrates the floppy disk drive is functioning properly when using a floppy disk in good shape An "Unreliable Disk" message does not mean the drive is bad. It means the disk could possibly fail in the future, although the disk can be formatted and used to save and load data. Floppy disk these days are more than likely used and up to 25 years old. It is best to make several back ups or to use a more reliable media like a SCSI hard disk drive or Zip drive. I personally have not had many issues with floppy disks failing often, when the disk are taken care of, stored properly, and are closed, protecting the data film. This unit's floppy disk drive is functioning properly, as demonstrated in this video.

Not 100% sure but it may be a copy disk feature. I don’t own this any more. I will find out.
