    BROTHER why make a video about making a swimbait WITHOUT SHOWING HOW IT CATCHES FISH or atleast show how it swims trough the water

    Nice baits just keep getting cleaner and cleaner…. Tip- get yourself a LENOX Gold utility knife, it’s been working great for me in my adventure in lure making.
    Keep it up and FISH ON !!

    Can you help me? for some reason I'm not picking up the gist of connecting the joints. How do I do the part where it makes it jointed as in the hardware.

    Good looking baits bud ! One small thing that could help is find the center of the wood (back and belly ) and mark a line from head to tail ! That will help keeping everything center

      On this I used your normal 2 part epoxy.. not the 5 minute... I recently purchased alumilites alumi uv. I'm still experimenting with it.. the curing process is very sensitive to low temperatures. But I'm having alot of luck after contacting the manufacturer and asking for advice.

    • @walkerbaits3242
      @walkerbaits3242  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Scott McCrary thanks brotha! Gills can get aggravating at first. I have a few things that have helped me. Grab a scrap board and practice your gills a few times before transferring it over to the bait. Don’t carve deep. And remember the gills are a layer on top of the body. So be sure to sand the body down behind the gills for the depth. Make a stencil so both sides are symmetrical. Repetition is key

    You can make soft vice grips with some HDPE.Use milk jugs or folgers red coffee cans etc. The cans will be marked on the plastic.Look for HDPE and cut it into pieces,make a brick in an old pan. Cut pieces on the band saw and use on your vice. Works great.
