OMG I can die in peace now, you're right back on the 90's that 2 pack predator was had the closest look as the movie ones.
I'm over 34 and I recently started to purchase old predator figures.
Hope you can track down one of these 2 packs for a good deal as this came out years ago now. Still one of Neca's cooler Alien/ Predator sets!
@@MarlotheCollector I don't think so, besides I still have my Kenner's originals, and also I have purchased the ultimate jungle hunter and the ultimate alien big chap which are basically the same as the 2 pack.
@@neildelaguila5575 It's cool you still have the originals! I made sure I kept mine too! I thought maybe you wanted this set as it displays nicely in package like the vintage figures, but you're totally right, as long as you have the Jungle Hunter and Big Chap, it's pretty much the same. ;)
Guess what?, I ended up purchasing this pack yesterday, not as articulated as the ultimate editions but I'm happy with them.
I used to love that kenner 2 pack because as you said, it closely resembled the original Pred, and the all black alien just looked awesome. Favorite figures of mine for a loooooooooong ass time.
+Rob Rose I hear ya! Those certainly were the coolest figures at the time that most closely resembled our favorite movie creatures! Funny how the figures have some such a long way since..! ;)

Man, I've loved action figures for as long as I can remember. Seeing how much the action figures have evolved today, compared to how the average action figures from back in the 80's when I was a kid is just mind blowing LOL! The sculpts, articulations, paintjobs, how they use real fabrics and metals and not to mention the presentation of these figures. Being able to have both the original AND the crazy updated versions of a figures is awsome, especially from such a line as AVP. The alien and the predator is probably the most awesome sci-fi creatures of all time for me, and I simply love how they fit together!
+eSeReS Yeah, I've been collecting toys and figures for so long, it's great to see the evolution of things through the years and to be able to go back to them and compare. I'm so glad I never got rid of these as I was so close to doing so many times! It's great that Neca is rewarding the fans with these new figures inspired by the old Kenner line!

+Luis Diaz Yes, I believe the alien is the same as the one in the original, the big chap alien. This version was just painted differently as he is mostly black with no clear dome to show the skull underneath.

They are both the "Renegade" Predator as the original 2pack package label listed the Predator inside as Renegade Predator. The solo figure is also the Renegade Predator, he just has a different paint job.

Im picky with what predators i pick up now, i own 35 or so neca preds and i find alot of them to just not have enough originality to justify buying them all personally but they are great.
+ryan turney I hear ya..! I felt the same for quite some time, but I'm such a fan of Preds that I find myself still trying to keep up! Some repaints I don't really care for, like the video game stuff, but the others I guess are still cool enough for me to keep collecting. I hope they don't milk the same molds for too much longer though..! LOL!
I hear you there some new molds would be most exelent ,and i would be all for them doing the original avp comic preds they had a really unique armor style, and i wouldnt complain about the capcom avp game figs!!
+ryan turney The AVP line they are releasing soon looks to be pretty cool! At least we'll have some improved 7" scale versions of Scar, Celtic, and Chopper!

I know that this is an old video but really I didn’t know that toys r us had their own action predator figures and aliens figures and I thought that neca and mcfarlane were the only onces that could make predator figures
ToysRUs has had several exclusives through the year with various toy makers, so yes, they made exclusive Alien and Predator figures with Kenner/Hasbro and later on with Neca before going out of business in the U.S. They would also often get a limited about of SDCC exclusives.

Focusing pretty much only on the predator and talking nearly non stop about both of the predators made this review boring.
The Kenner figure are garbage. I liked the original Starwars figures but I of course know that they were good for the time, infact they make the Kenner Alien and Predator look even worse!
The newer Alien of this pack is pretty cool, basic articulation but faithful to the 1979 movie, but you said next to nothing about it, why???
