FYI, I had the same water leak problem every time I went through a car wash with my Mustang. Water would pour in through the front passenger-side air vent and flood the carpet. I discovered the water leak was caused by the clogged rubber drain valve at the bottom of the compartment where the outside cabin air filter is located. The little compartment is located outside the vehicle under the passenger-side windshield wiper. Just remove the vent cover and there is a space next to the firewall where the cabin air filter is located. The rubber plug is at the bottom of that narrow compartment. If you clean out the debris that collects in the bottom of the compartment below the air filter and unplug the rubber drain valve your internal water leak problem should be fixed. Some people just remove the rubber valve and leave it out. It took me two years to figure this out. Hope it helps you enjoy your Mustang. Happy motoring. Giddy Up!

I took out the rubber valve a couple years ago and still have the problem with water coming in my car. Not sure what else it could be
@@elizabethpena8982 Have you checked the drain hole lately where the rubber plug used to be? They can get clogged up pretty quickly, especially if you park in a place where a lot of leaves can get down into the compartment below the wipers. If that's not it then I'd check your rubber seals around the doors and possibly the seal around the windshield. There aren't that many other places water can get in. Wishing you the best of luck.

Duude this happen to me during the last raining season. So take out the cabin filter and clean underneath and around the plug? Is the plug easy to spot?

Uggh: It's 4 clips in the housing and, not 2, unless you want to try to force the air filter frame out through a narrow gap after removing only 2 clips (not advisable). And the screws in the clips are better and easier removed by pinching the clips with pliers underneath the housing and let them pop up...At least this is what I found to be in the case in my 2014 Mustang Convertible, V-6.

A clean engine air filter can help with better air flow and better air flow can equal to more horse power.
