when you make the wax bullets you could put a ball bearing as the nose so it could cycle. or you could get a bullet mold and pour hot glue or wax into it and freeze it so its in the shape of a bullet.
He takes the primer out first because otherwise the compressed air will push the wax "bullet" halfway out. There's no neck tension and no crimp involved, and wax is slicky.
cool vid! do yourself a favor - on a 1911 take the extractor out before you do this. dropping the slide on an already chambered round has been shown to do fantastic amounts of damage to your extractor.
@Prairie7777 Optima 2000. Holographic sight. Great for sharp shooting with a pistol, but I wouldn't recommend it for conceal carry. If you get jostled around and the glass breaks, you're sightless.
cool, what's the range of the wax bullet? with just the primer it cant be that far right? and basically it's for practicing hip-firing and trigger squeeze right?
@GunFreak270 in the begining of the clip he states that it works better in revolvers cause it can hold six and cycle threw them with out ejecting them so i'd say yes with out a problem
I've shot the rubber bullets from my .357 revolver, they will break the skin with magnum primers, and they have penetrated through plastic bottles. ( I shot it at a cleaning solution bottle 409. not as thin as a water bottle) no was residue, but they are more expensive, and might put holes in that towel.
dose it hurt the gun or barrle in n e way ? and what exactly happens if you were to shoot a person with them it wouldnt break skin would it ? it cant be much worse than a paint ball that would be a blast to run around with my friend shootin wax bulltes from a real gun instead of paint ball and my ramp is very very pollished it can cycle empy cases no prob
No idea what you're on about. Wax bullets, however, are a cool way to practice. After looking at this comment again I'm not sure you watched the video at all. @faultroy
@Nanaki83 Yup. Probably no more than 30 feet. I imagine that a smaller caliber like 9mm would be more accurate, and you could practice aiming. But a 45 just throws a giant glob of wax through the air, and is hardly accurate.
You mention that it stinks doing this indoors. IT will stink, and most primers have lead in them that disperses all over the place when used indoors. Not good for you and really bad for children.
I would still rather use airsoft to train indoors on those days you can't get to a range or afford to, more realistic and a lot less messy, oh and simpler, you can get shell ejecting airsoft pistols and shotguns too.
That is NOT hip firing, why does everyone always fuck up the hip fire technique. Draw the pistol and fire it one foot above your hip, tucked tightly into your body with the gun bent at an angle so the slide doesn't cut up your chest or get caught on your shirt.
I used your video to make my point whilel explaining wax bullets to a friend. By the way, did anyone tell you you look just like James May's american cousin?
@saints360row As - that. I was trying to make a comment, but they wouldn't go through. So, when one did, it wasn't the one I wanted. Thus, that comment was born.
I bet them globs of wax would sting if ya got hit by one in the belly. Might be good next time a stray dog or something comes around that won't leave, probably effective on them pesky two legged critters that wont leave too.
Didn't know the hip was located 2 feet in front of the chest. Thanks for the anatomy lesson.

@Acecool I see it. But it wasn't moving fast enough to do any harm. And it beats a real piece of lead coming back at your head any day.
Dang that's clever!
If pistols where Legal in the UK, i'd be trying this riiiiiiiiiight now...
@mw2Glitching360 Own 3. 45's don't cycle well unless the shell has some kind of round in it. I'd be thrilled if they did!
Gotta love wax bullets for my revolver haha, I can finally shoot in my backyard. great video. Now if I can just find some more primers..

Ever tried casting hotglue from a bullet mold?
dose it hurt the gun or barrle in n e way ?

@kcpoynter I'm reloading spent brass. I was removing the old primers.
Dude, that's awesome! I'd like to try this one day. How to explain wax everywhere to my wife I don't know.
this is awesome, I'll be doing this today. thank you

Isn't loading the rounds like that bad for the case extractor?
What type of receiver sight did you use?
Why do you have to take out the primer?
@Nanaki83 Yup. Probably no more than 30 feet. I imagine that a smaller caliber like 9mm would be more accurate, and you could practice aiming. But a 45 just throws a giant glob of wax through the air, and is hardly accurate.
break many extractors?
@YoshiFan100 oh i bet didnt think about that lol well maybe an inside game of cops and robers is in order eh?
You mention that it stinks doing this indoors. IT will stink, and most primers have lead in them that disperses all over the place when used indoors. Not good for you and really bad for children.
@jasoncapps33 I've tried it, very fun to shoot. But the wind takes it very easy.

What is the FPS on the wax????
@YoshiFan100 -So, Failcakes for everyone then?

@YoshiFan100 Your comment made it... eventually...
3:41-3:44 you see the wax bullet ricocheting and nearing missing your head.
I see one big problem. By loading them manually, you put A LOT of stress on your extractor.
this would be fun to replace paint ball!
Cool bullets

Some call it sheetrock or sheet rock wall.
AHHH!!! FUCK IT!!!
I've tried 5 times to write this damn comment and it keeps fail. And so help me god if this goes through.

I thought that was a wig.
i bet ya that hurts if u get hit with it lol you should try that with 12 gauge
when you can choose to leave the casing in the chamber, you can also choose to NOT pic it from the floor =D, one less thing to do, smart ass!!!
Guy from movie Independence Day! lol
A SW 4006 or 4506 would have cycled an empty shell.
Nice
cool jorts
Cool :)
SO FAGIDY
lol who needs to buy paint balls and c02 now not i .44 mag waxed bullets here i COME!!!!@
that's a good way to screw up your extractor.
