In the comics homelander is strong as shit, but in the Boys we never see how strong he really is. He never lifted up the plane, and in his fight with soldier boy he got overwhelmed and ran away. During his fight with maeve he also got stabbed in the ear and stopped hearing properly. Don't get me wrong I think Homelander is strong as shit but this isn't the comics homelander, and we're yet to see his real strength. As for Wesker, we see his potential throwing rockets with one hand and killing BOW's with one blow, but I see where you're coming from
