@@kmjkmjkmj This is just completely false. The conflict at the end wasn't "how do I kill Ozai during combat" it was "how do I defeat him without killing him." Otherwise he would have just killed him with the lightning.
I like how Aang released the grapples on the tanks. They shot more to save themselves, but he had no idea they could do that. Then, he caused an avalanche. Aang straight up tried to kill scores of people in the episode.
4:11 i love how the show frames this here, bc it makes it sound like it's a spa that they're doing and that they're being incredibly wasteful but in truth building a communal bath on site is actually a very important health concern, and to that the question is, why not individual showers or even the good ol' "heat some water and stand over a big bucket" well one is actually more wasteful and would require them to destroy more of the temple for the piping and stuff and the other one is that they are high up on a snowy mountain, their elderly are going to freeze
This episode is super nostalgic for me. I used to have a S1 dvd when I was younger and would watch this episode in particular a lot. I had one of those car seat mounted tv's and would watch it when we went on drives and stuff.
i know you're mostly joking, but you can't really call any "grrilla tactic" a "war crme" when ppl are defending themselves against a literal gncdal empire. it doesn't make sense. the Fire Nation deserves even more, is not morally questionable to resist at all, even deceptively. other than that, i've been really loving Lindsay's reactions.
