This is the best disassembly video for this gun I have found on TH-cam. Thank you. I have his same exact gun but I’m scared to disassemble it because I feel like I won’t be able to put it back together. A reassembly video would be greatly appreciated!
Any chance you could show how the handagurd is attached with disassembly/reassembly? Ive got a take off part Im looking to install on my 92. Thanks for sharing!
@PYRATE Firearms & Reloading So i got a block that goes over the tube and the barrel. But was kinda stumped on if it attached to the receiver or is it held on just by that mount on the barrel and mag tube? Appreciate the response back..
nothing attaches to the receiver, there are tabs on the back of the handguard that slip into the front of the receiver to help retain it. the mounting block is further up and goes around the barrel and mag tube.
Unfortunately my levtac 92 chambered in 44 was having issues this morning, I’ve barely fired 8 rounds through it. I tried to eject the fire arm and was able to get out 4 rounds when the damn thing jammed and now won’t open. Realized that the carrier screw, part 31 in the parts lost in the manual, was gone. Must’ve come loose right outta the box and now there 1 live round in the chamber and three others in the magazine tube. Not necessarily afraid to handle the weapon, but avoiding it at all costs and I’m lost on what to do.
That's no good. all lever guns have a habit of backing out screws. Marlins will lock up if the loading gate screw backs out. Loctite 222 is your friend. Have you taken the magazine cap off? at the very least it will get the magazine empty. depending on how bad its jammed up it may take enough tension off the action to get the round out of the chamber. Beyond that contact your local gunsmith.
I have the Levtac in a 44 mag and as with all calibers, the loading gate is a pain to work with. I have metal snap caps that I load every day multiple times to loosen the loading process, but it occurred to me to ask: why can't one just cut a semi-circular notch into the loading gate forward end as is the case of the Henry’s. The Henry loads without a fight with this design yet the Rossi R92 has a straight-cut end to grab your finger when loading. I am thinking of buying an extra loading gate and then grinding one to the semi-circle shape just to try and ease the loading or have you done this? Thanks for your videos.
I have a video on smoothing the loading gate. you and aslo stairghet the gate a little to relives some of the tension. do so with caution. th-cam.com/video/IfjgYVhHShA/w-d-xo.html
Hey mate did you have any problems with your lever loop not being in the same position when reassembling? Got mine the other day and when I first got it there was roughly 5mil gap between the loop and stock, now it’s not sitting parallel, the rear of the loop is touching the stock and the front of the loop closest to the trigger has a larger gap.
Hey there. So, took the gun out recently and had a jam and had to mortar a round in order to get it to load properly. A This actually caused my stock to crack. Do you have any good replacements you would be able to recommend?
Real sorry. I lost most of the reassembly footage. I will be refliming in a few weeks. If you a quick search there are a few other videos on the Rossi assemble.
sure is. glad you got it sorted. you can also put the croos pin in the blot to retain the extractor, you just have to remember to drift it back out to put the lever back.

Might have to take mine to a gunsmith for cleaning...

@@pyrate_nz Exactly what I needed to know, thanks a lot for responding!

I never put mine on. From memory it had a screw on the end.
@@pyrate_nz hm, mine came with it attached and i dont see a screw
inside the knurled peice?
@@pyrate_nz yeah, i didnt see one in there. I worked around it though so its not really an issue anymore

that's definitely not right. sounds like the lever is not in the right position or missed the pivot pin
I bought one a little while ago but the lever on mine cracked. Do you know where I could get a replacement one by any chance?
A rossi dealer close to you should be able to help or the shop where you purshased it. Its just a R92 so should be hard to get the parts

Sombody reccomened the Boyds stock in a previous video. They make fantastic stocks
@@pyrate_nz yeah, they are my last hope tbh
Yeah this is a lot going on
sure is, not a good beginners task
I cannot get the pin out :( nvm, had to hit it harder lol
I did just like the video which is helpful but I couldnt pick them back.....help me

Way 2 many steps for me but good looking rifle
TH-cam sucks. Why did they cut reassembly process out? Videos are like books. Police states regulate what you can and can't see. Thanks.
