Replacing the original Truckster exhaust system using DIY aluminum mufflers.

The rotten exhaust pipes and muffler had to go. In an effort to quiet this thing down I built custom mufflers from an aluminum sailboat mast. Watch the video to learn just how well it worked.

I have a hunting buddy that's an electrician, everything he owns has uni strut on it for some reason or another. It always works in a pinch, especially if you have it on hand

If the Truckster doesn’t cause me much trouble and if it will haul a little dirt like I hope I guess I will break down and purchase a couple of real mufflers.

Which OMC motor do you have ? They used them in everything like snowmobiles and pumps and obviously carts . They fire different then normal , some fire both cylinders at the same time so the ports are in different location then normal. Like a boat motor the ports are at the bottom of the stroke ! Fill the mufflers with steel wool !

I have read that because the spark plugs on my engine are pointed upwards it is the 21 hp version. That’s really all I know about it. A very torquey little engine, will chug on at dead idle in second gear.
