PCT 구간 나무를 자르려 올라갔는데.. We tried to cut down dead trees on PCT

약 2주전에 마운틴 파시피코를 산행하면서 등산로를 가로 막고 쓰러진 나무들을 여럿 보았습니다. 이곳 등산로는 4월초부터 멕시코 국경에서 출발한 PCT 하이커들이 지나가는데 쓰러진 나무들이 많아 조금 안스웠습니다. 물론 산림국과 PCT 협회에서 이곳 등산로를 관리하고있지만 손이 모자라 제때 정리를 못하는 것같았습니다. 주중 수요일에 시간을 내서 조지님과 함께 이곳 등산로에 쓰러진 나무들을 자르기로 했습니다. About two weeks ago, I hiked up Mount Pacifico and saw several downed trees blocking the trail, which was a bit unfortunate because the trail has been used by PCT hikers since early April. Of course, the Forest Service and the PCT Association maintain the trail, but they don't seem to be able to clear it promptly because they are short-handed. I decided to take some time during the week to cut down the trees on the trail with my buddy George.
