That 108 miles of battery life was tested on flat level Highways in warm weather. You will get far less mileage in cold weather, hills, Mountains and so on. I guess if you're into stopping every hour or so to charge up this is the camper for you. It's a great idea but still has a looong way to go. I enjoy your vids, keep them coming.

The department of energy czar couldn't even find enough charging stations to charge her car cause there isn't and won't be enough charging stations for every American to go electric.... Not to mention building these require fossil fuels and building these are much more destructive on the environment.

@@illusionary_wind190well, considering most peeps in the desert ain't moving, over 600watts would be a good starting. Check out quartzsite arizona, place gets pack with mobile lifers for months. Spent 3 months there, only time I went to town was to restock. Was using a computer, ps5, xbox, fridge, living regularly. Never had to plug in to the grid. And I only had 3 100watts solar.

Love your channel. I am waiting on a hybrid. My concern is the power to pull hills on total electricity. The van will get more mileage. The Lexis hybrid charges itself when the gas motor is running. I think the office space is a waste of space and the van should be a total of four captain chairs for the dining and living areas. Older people like space. Love the bed set up for storage but should be a twin option or a murphy bed from the ceiling. Love the back view lol. Like the sink and bath. Need a stove. Would love a pop top. Ride 4 sleep 4. The fridge needs to be taller. The van seems too cheap on features to be a flagship electric compared to what is out. I am sure they are still working on it.

I can answer one of those. Finding charging stations is not as hard as people are making it seem. Just search charging stations in maps, here in Oregon they are all over, not just in the cities but also along the coast and the highway. 100 odd miles would be no problems at all.

I drove 978miles on one tank of gas from NC to NH and still had a 1/4 tank left. I know I'm talking to different vehicles now. Do you have access to a lot of charging stations or are they limited!? I will say it's nice looking but not big enough. Can't wait for you to give a full update on this after a while. Good luck ❤ you guys safe travels!

Charging stations are everywhere. Maybe they are more common in some places then others but in my state (Oregon) 100 miles is no problem. Not only are they in cities but all along the highways, in camping sites along the coast. It's one of those things you don't really realize how common they are until you actually start looking for them.

Nicely produced and fun to watch, but I'm still immensely disappointed how most people are so absolutely ignorant about electricity. A battery does not generate "kilowatt hours". Generation would describe a maximum power output in watts. It contains an amount of electricity that can be measured in KWh, which is what you meant. A solar panel generates power, a battery does not.

Would not work for us. We have too many wide open spaces in which we travel.
It is 50 miles just to the closest city/town from us so if we have to travel farther?
MAYBE, a hybrid since they work together - gas and electric - but not a total electric.
I think Desert Snow is the best set up, would love to have one just like it…one of these days.
LOVE your adventures!! Keep up the great job of taking me along! Thank you!

Hope you guy's have a wonderful time trying out the new electric camper Van. I really don't like the electric part seen two many bad things about electric cars but a lot of people like them. But enjoy yourselves but I know you always do. Love and Prayers and stay safe see you in the next video. They do look nice just not for me.

I wish I could afford that vehicle. I am disabled and struggle financially a lot. Starting May me, my cat, and my little dog are all three going to be living out of my vehicle for a while, small minivan. Basically all I'm going to have is a bed, a camping toilet and that's basically it. I'm watching these videos hoping I can learn something that might help me. My biggest worry is having electricity to plug in my breathing treatment machine, a nebulizer machine, keeping my insulin cool and struggling to keep it cool enough for my cat and dog in the van in the summertime. Unfortunately they're both long hair. I was told I could get a converter box I think it's called where you plug in stuff for power. I won't be able to afford one right off the bat but I'm going to try to do that. We're going to be living in Massachusetts so I'm kind of dreading the winter. I'm going to try to get a heavy-duty sleeping bag and hope we don't freeze. I'm hoping I could learn something from all these van life videos on here.

Perfect review sharing pros and cons from experienced rv’ers point of view. 🐞 in my humble opinion a mere 108 miles on a single charge is quite a negative for me especially if needing to avoid harmful weather or any dangerous situation along with locating a charging facility. Curious as to how long it does take to bring back up fully charged? 🚌

Great review. I didn’t hear how long you have the vehicle for the test. Saw this at tampa last year and just loved it. For me my meds would be 3-350 miles per charge. Truma hot water heater and better storage. We have a B Van and enjoy it immensely. Good luck! 😊

This is so exciting! It's definitely not for everyone, but I am a travel nurse who plans to move into a Mercedes E sprinter when they come out this fall! Most of my time will be city dwelling for work, so I am not to concerned about the range, and I believe they are estimating 250 miles on a charge! It will be the perfect weekend rig for me and my partner to travel and vacation in too!

We do most of our RVing from
So Cal to N ID 18hr drive now add in 12-14 recharges and that 18hr drive almost doubles. Plus there are still areas on our route that do not have recharging stations.

I think this will be a good experiment, unfortunately I personally am not sold on electric. Electric has a place in commuter cars etc, however I believe hydrogen fuel cell technology is where we will be heading. The 108 mile range is absolutely pitiful and not viable for very much adventure and I can see so many limitations. I do wish your journey in this vehicle to be a good one it will be fun to watch for sure.

    • @tpkyterooluebeck9224
      @tpkyterooluebeck9224 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm not sold on electric either, especially since both coast (West and East) have power outages very often. And, California has been all over the news about how they don't have enough power to even charge electric cars! Yeah, I'm not seeing it yet. OTOH, Hydrogen tech has been around for many many years now, and no one has wanted to step up to the plate and use it, but I think the fire risks in crashes, are what putting people off.
