Heck yeah. Make all the money you can on those steering parts. Nothing to gain by showing people how. I added a Chinese DRO to my mill quite a few years before Covid. At that time they were selling pretty darn cheap. Best addition I’ve made to my knee mill. Sure beats counting revs on the dials.

It worked great and the display software is very nice. It was a pain for me to keep the tablet charged. I like the not having to worry about it working and just walk up hit the switch and it is ready to go. I don't use the Logan lathe all the time but when I need to use it I want it ready. I work in my shop almost everyday and I hate it when I can't rely on a tool not being ready. Thanks for the comment.

Great wideo. I liked the slim magnetic scale for the cross slide, however when I went to the site you listed and set up the two scales and display the shipping was over $150. Thats crazy high for less than $400 worth of DRO. Did you pay those high shipping charges??? Thanks for the info
1 display, 2 scales, 114$ shipping, that was for the surface grinder. 2 power feeds, 4 scales, 2 displays 363$ shipping. yes FedEx shipped, kind of pricy.
Really nice to see You "up in the saddle" Randy! Nice stuff. Having no DRO, only digital scales attached to the machine by Neodym magnets, I manage. Now and then they need to be taken down removing the ferro chips creeping in under between the magnets. The Chinese.... They are like the bible grasshoppers of ancient Egypt, every ware.... Joking! Just ordered a Chinese boroscoope... During the visit, today, to "my" veteran railroad I brought an angle cube to check up an old lathe. It told the bed was flat but the spindle of the tail stock was like a banana, pointing downwards when it was extended. Good news that the entire lathe was not worned out.
