Must be nice to be a Karen. Had I broken into someone's garage, I'd be looking at up to about 10 years in prison for B&E

How op didn't drag that crazy ash out of the garage by the hair is beyond me.

The story about the reduced hours/termination. I would have simply assumed when I handed my boss a doctor's statement demanding reduced hours that I either be fired soon, but most of my employers had enough sense to wait awhile and use a different excuse! (I live in a "Right to work," "fire at will." state

In the first story: If she's taking up residence in OP's "abandoned" garage, that means she has abandoned her house. By her logic, OP should have been able to "annex" her house. Fair trade in my opinion.

well op said it was a family that moved. my guess she wanted to use OP's garage as a she-shed. aka like a man cave for women. but she probably felt...her children were selfish in wanting a place to sleep instead of her getting a private space and she had to park her car in garage

Looks like Karen tried to use squatter's rights, but that only works if OP only had the garage totally abandoned for a long time. He was still using it, just as a workspace. Karen should have gotten thrown in jail for trespassing and vandalism, ( changing the lock)

Woman or not I'm taking those keys and the police are getting a call about a B&E and to bring EMS because the intruder " tripped " and also " accidentally " ran into the door jamb multiple times along with falling down some stairs.

1st story, in my state the Karen most likely would have left in a bag.

Op should have pressed charges against the lunatic for braking and entering as well as harassment and tresspassing. The bus driver and the principal should be fired and banned from working with children.

The one at the Mexican place makes me think of the scene from 'Honey We Shrunk Ourselves' when the two dads end up in the chip dip and one comments 'They're just a bunch of teenage girls, how much can they eat?'

... I was reminded of the time I ordered the "guac sub", and they told me if I wanted guac on the guac sub, that'd cost me $2 extra. To which like... WHY is it called a guac sub then? xD

Omg, the employee that can’t even deal with life needs to go live on an island. They can’t even function. Pathetic. Has to have fresh air? How in the world have they lived this long with all of those hardships? What a trooper. They should erect a statue for them. The employer expected them to work a full work?!?! The audacity. 🙄

the union story. when loking into a union, ALWAYS make sure your to be union isnt owned and managed by the employer you are working for. seen this a few times, and it makes it as bad as an HOA inside your job. your not able to fight anything, your not given rights, and any concerns are tossed asside worse than just an ignorant boss.

    • @markinman8156
      @markinman8156 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

wow never have heard of that, unless it is in a week union state or area I can't imagine that type of arrangement getting past labor laws, but you lived it so evidently it did. in the story the OP did something very dumb, signed paperwork without FIRST checking with his union rep, also very shady the boss announcing a termination with you standing there to a whole group of co-workers.

Private property is not a neighborhood resource, secondly turning a garage into living space isn't using a garage for its intended purpose Karen's original complaint to OP.
School bus story not sure a bus driver has the authority to take the kids back to school just because they opened the windows
Last story if OPs mother thinks Ops should give her the money made from baby-sitting and cleaning maybe Ops mother should pay for all the house work and child minding done since they were 8yrs old.

We used to use the garage of our old house for storage, since the cars didn’t fit inside, and no one complained. I could never imagine someone entering the garage and just doing what that Karen did.

OP treated the karen in the first too lightly
Had it been me i woildhabe gone into the garage and hauled all her crap out and not gently ether and dumped it on a dumpster
Its on your property so you can do what you like with it
The more the stuff is damaged the better
Let her call the police on you
You have the owner ship papers proving the house is yours so she will have no leg to stand on
Then also charge her for trespassing and the cost of securing the house safely
    Change of locks
    Security cameras etc

    First Story:
Why does she just get to leave?? I've been detained before just for walking down a public street and looking 'suspicious' (suspicious in this case means tall, black, and scary I guess), god forbid I were to break into, and set up shop in somebodies garage! I would probably be shot on the spot. This woman didn't even get a ticket! Even let her stop and switch the lock back on her way out... These are the kind of cops I need in my life damnit!

If any of that is true in the last story OP should've called CPS & or tried to find a relative to stay with who wasn't like her E.M. My mom has well had a friend who was like that & way worse to her only daughter. When my mom found out what was going on she cut off contact & let her daughter move in with us when she threw her daughter out at 14 bc she found out the daughter had a black boyfriend. When she found out her daughter was living with us she threatened to call the cops on my mom unless my mom gave her money. My mom said go ahead I'll tell them how u threw out ur minor child, abt ur drug activities bc she was a pot head & back then it was still illegal everywhere & that she'd also be calling CPS. So she didn't call the cops, but my mom did call CPS & her daughter lived with us until she went to college

Did you know you can't use a garage for living space. The real reason is sound no bathroom means you can't live there. Besides who is their right mind wants to live in a garage.

Not if it's you only living space, but as she had her house nearby, she did have access to a bathroom.
I used to live in a small hut/cabin outside my parents house when I was a teenager. No bathroom or running water, but I could just go 50 feet to main house. And I was free to play music as loud as I wanted, whenever I wanted, without disturbing anyone.

Last story. If I were you. Ok, you want money for raising me. Then where's my money for raising your kids? That were my siblings, who were also your kids. I should bank between you and them. You were a very bad mom, had me do your job cause you were to cheap to hire a sitter for them. And had them disrespect me, where's my money

Get a bank account in your name in a different bank and have any paychecks direct deposited. Find and keep your birth certificate and any other necessary paperwork, social security card, passport, etc. start stashing clothing with a trusted friend or relative especially any electronics good luck

The union story where I am from is ridiculous. My dad hated unions with just cause; old neighbors in one and put out of work when plant shut down. People are so feeble now and want "special treatment". Good grief can't work like a regular person? Oh I have this label or that. If people knew half of what I had to deal with in my life their face would fall off. Pathetic

You sound like a terrible person.
It's not wrong to have standards, wanting other people to suffer terrible conditions because you had to is horrible. If you lost your arm in an accident would you go around cutting off other peoples arms?
Part of being a grown up is realising that it's your responsibility to improve the quality of life for future generations. Wanting other people to not have something because you didn't makes you sound like a spoiled 4 year old complaining it's not fair that the neighbours kid gets to have a dog.

Sub principal Karen: The fact that no one except her own boss tried to bail her out is a clear indicative of how much of an a**hole she is with everyone and believes she has to be loved by everyone no matter what.

I'm more worried about the police kidnapping, sorry "arresting", people at random and holding them until someone pays the ransom, sorry "donation". That's pretty much as illegal abuse of power as it gets and the Karen in the story is no match for the police.....
