The ability of Laponite to improve the viscosity of an aequous solution containing PEG-oligomeres depends heavily on the composition of the formula, as many other ingredients might have an impact on this. Some preliminary tests would be necessary to find out. To begin with, we suggest to dissolve Laponite XL-21 in water first and then add the other ingredients later. Depending on diverse factors, the PEG-oligomeres might cause a delay in the first thickening of the solution. Please consider this during the tests.
