As not everything I wanted to say got in and I always love people getting into this game for the game, the art or the Speedrun. In the end for most rain world runs if you can beat the game you can Speedrun it, it's all about learning the route and being comfortable with it
Are there any people working on a full-game TAS run? I'd love to see all the frame-perfect and theoretical movement tech put into use
@Zooiest i think it's hard to make TAS run cuz creature locations are random and if i remember correctly, the same inputs doesn't always translate to the same movement of slugcat, it's hard to explain as i'm only casual player but yea, btw great run iced and your video with sigma was fun to watch
are there gonna be other rainworld speedruns? would love to see artificer

That one spider-death in Shaded Citadel was so uncalled for, they weren't even that many, Rivulet just died from arachnophobia xD
There were a lot but it's weird that they coalesced and got over their fear of rivulet's light so quickly
Two overseers off to the side, a red and a green one - NSH is cheering on the wet mouse to go as fast as they can, meanwhile SRS is getting _increasingly_ more concerned that Rivulet isnt talking to _either_ Pebbles or Moon during this whole operation.
Rivulet doesn’t care about the iterators they are just here to do unqualified heart surgery
I dont think anyone who havent played this game would know that how impressive this run&how smoothly ICED plays it during it
like HOW. He is also talking and explaining things cherry on top. This game has a lot of RNG involved to it. Even if you know all enemy spawns and such there could be an unexpected event anytime. You can always do better but never perfect

Thanks for posting this on youtube! I wanted to join the stream but i was literally driving all day for work and couldn't! I hope this brings some new gamers into Rain World! Nice run Iced! It cannot be easy to narrate and explain stuff while speed running!

A couple of lore corrections:
1 - Water is not used to cool iterator superstructures. It essentially serves as their blood, needing to be clean to carry away wastes and slag from the organic parts of the iterators. In Looks to the Moon's own words: 'Most of our processing is outsourced to microbe strata which need a flow of clean water or else slag builds up, our processes seize, and eventually we die. It is... very painful.'
2 - The snow in Bitter Aerie is not a result of Five Pebbles' losing his rarefaction cell. The snow only appears at the top of Moon's structure as she herself no longer functions on a higher level as she used to, meaning that she does not exhale the same amount of water vapour that Five Pebbles does even after losing his cell. We also know that it has been snowing in BA for quite some time, as Miros vultures have already settled there and even have their own nest, due to their preference for cold areas. This is actually what leads on to them being present on a larger scale throughout the world as Saint.
i kind of hate the fact that moon is cold. even in vanilla she is still functioning and producing vapour, even if it's not very much. with the rarefaction cell she should be functioning far better?? with downpour's "the world is COLD AND SNOWY!! the iterators are making it warm" then she should NOT be cold. and apparently outer expanse and stuff ISNT cold even though it is further away from pebbles. AND it RAINS in bitter aerie??? also how does snow even work in rw the water is way more dense than real world rain and there's also the dust and stuff and I. this is getting very offtrack but you get my point
actually im noticing progressively more inconsistencies with downpour as I watch this
@@jessiesowter I don't really get DP establishing the world naturally being cold either, but the thing with Moon is that most of her structure is submerged, so even with any water exhaled, it would be going into the surrounding water rather than in the open air, so the only thing being warm would be the bottom of her structure. This would continue to be the case with the cell.

In all seriousness though, noticed barely any rain from your can so figured a little support might be in order.

@@knowledgeacquirer2931 yes I know about the pearl. but in shoreline you can clearly see that there are some sparse clouds around the area. harassment only says *"barely any* rain" impling she is still producing a small amount of rain
she is mostly submerged but the upper half of her can is above water
I went to the wiki for the dev commentary and it said
"Andrew: Why is it snowing up here? Partially the same reason why there's snow at the peaks of mountains.
Andrew: In MSC's version of the Rain World, the natural state of this world is a cold, frigid one.
Andrew: However, certain parts of iterator's superstructures, and their surrounding
facilities give off a substantial amount of heat as a byproduct of their functions.
Andrew: They're like giant space heaters... and collectively they might even increase the global temperature
of the world... at the very least, they provide significant heat within their local operational region.
Andrew: For Moon, her machinery has stagnated, and the westward blowing winds
carries most of the heat from Pebbles' machinery in the opposite direction of her.
Andrew: Between the altitude and the far proximity to any functional radiated heat, it has begun to get quite cold here."
so it's... the wind. it's the wind. I don't understand but okay (they're giant organisms, would they not be producing heat anyway? pebbles has VISIBLE FLESH IN HIS WALLS in rm. I don't think that's how the wind works)
