Farmers in Kenya's highlands are now embracing fish farming as an alternative source of income, thanks to the Government's Economic Stimulus Plan. The funds have been channelled towards start-up of modern fish farms and purchase of fingerlings, which have in turn propped the country's fish production capacity. ABN's Beatrice Gachenge tells us more.
If they were running that water through some plants to filter it, they could see even larger profits! Best of luck!
very nice farm!
WHAT food is used for fish
That water looks so dirty and nasty. What are they doing to filter the water so that the fish aren't swimming in such filthy water?
try looking into aquaponics like JT Bear said
wow great investment
please what material did you use to line the pond
50kg fish production per month means 50x300: 17.000 kenyan shillings
and that is exclusive of any cost.
so by 50kg fish production per month the outcome would be around 10k ?!
If I have understood well, you should have at least 300 kg production per month to gain at least 80k per month.
