@@rajgill7576 almost nobody does that style of tank tho. Just like nobody does undergravel lol. The Eheim Skim350 is better as this one from oase in my opinien. This oase has indeed the outflow downwards, eheim not and for the eheim you can also buy an addon for the inflow to keep out small fish and large particles.
So I ended up picking up this skimmer and it’s… flawless. Literally everything you could want a skimmer to be. I run it 24/7 and there is absolutely nothing I’d change about it.
@@Noeman2009this is not a protein skimmer it’s just a surface skimmer. Surface particulates get caught in the foam and the oil is remixed into the water so stays suspended better.

I have the 350, works well,but... The water is pushed down and all plants underneath are covered with algae as the dirty water flows directly on them. Oase should modify the water flow instead of downflow it should go horizontaly out like on the Eheim 350
Or you could buy the skimmer version of steel outlet pipe then the filter removes the film/scum instead of blowing it back into the tank so your skimmer is always working with you instead of against you like your video is.. skimmers need to be attached to the filter to work properly/efficiently.
this seems like the perfect thing for my turtle tub usually i feed them and there’s some pellets left over from just not being as hungry or whatever and this would come in handy just curious how fast it fills up? like do i gotta clean it often or? i usually do a full tank cleaning once a month and i dont mind weekly cleanings of this thing but i dont wanna do it daily lol
I probably won’t ever use anything like this, because the last great filter I bought is sitting in its box, never to be touched again. They make it look like they’re so easy to assemble & disassemble BUT wasn’t at all! This looks easy, but is it really?
I hope they’re using this the next time @Exxon or @BP makes a mess. Seriously. I want to help to propose a larger version of this to see if it’s feasible.
I love the look of this. I think or skimmers as something for drilled tanks, or salt water I think this is going to be bought on my next trip to my LFS
In saltwater tank overflow box does the job of surface skimming also You don't need additional surface skimmer Rather you need a protein skimmer to remove organic wastes
I swear my fishes are soooooo crazy they would jump right into it.....maybe my fault because I trained them to swirl and float on 'streams'. The just love it
look into the tidal HOB filters. they have a built in skimmer and the water goes back out through the top of your tank. it’s actually really cool. it’s an expensive filter but definitely worth it
I like it :) It looks cute and it provides cover for fish near surface like Gourami. It's also great at removing excess nutrients from the water. Just take some out with a net when it grows too much and/or use a feeding ring.
Lol fr though they overprice everything in the aquarium hobby because they can like why am I paying 300 to collect poop from the water surface and why am I paying 500 for a decent light😂
Never seen a skimmer before! How cool
I didnt even know what a skimmer was til i saw this video. Now i need one.
This looks like something that would be great to use with for a reverse flow undergravel filtration system.
I thought undergravel wasn't so good anymore be cause you want an anaerobic layer of sand at the bottom for the good stuff to happen

Would it be useful for biofilm? I know it isn’t harmful, just don’t like the slightly oily look to it😅
ahhh just do water changes regularly put some floating plants i'd reco some red root or salvania they actually make biofilm disappear
Will duckweed clog it up?
Is there anyway to use these without it messing up your floating plants?
I sorted my oil film by using nano bubbles stone 😉
All the floaters are gone?
Looks good. Hope those suction cups are good quality
They've work well so far 😊
@@AQUAPROS just saw the price..... WOWSERS !!!
so when u feed ur fish, do you have to turn it off?

Does it clean the bottom of tank
@@giantasiansticker8068 no, it skims the surface of the water
Does it work for 40 gallons?
They do work really well! But it’ll blow your substrate around if it’s to close that’s forsure 😂
Do you use oase equipment in general? I'm wondering about the -100 filter heater!
B.
Is this the new filter?? I am getting back into Fish tanks and I am soo behind on what's new
How to order
Saltwater compatible?
Hi how longs the power cable thanks
Is it okay to use powerheads for planted tank? Or there are better choices?
How about the floating plants?

😊😊水質好,不會有髒水,吹下面幫手吹起魚屎😂😂
I have 2 of these 1 large and 1 small. Their ok but need to be cleaned daily if not twice a day do to the limited capacity of debris it holds
How long does it take to fill the sponge
I have 2 inches of leaf "mulm" on the bottom of my natural 60 gallon. My loach Loves to scurru thru it! 🤣
Capsule cleaner 🔥
Product name plz....
Do they have a way bigger one for duck weed?
That’s a cool Aquapro’s sticker on the front of that tank. 🙌🏼
What's the price for something like this.
Interested 🙏
can you please share the Amazon link, how big we need for 2ft aquarium ?
How is this different from a filter?
What’s your current favorite for a skimmer? Planning on picking one up soon.
I haye how the flow goes down on those, I have the small one and all it does it tear everything up

Is this available in Chennai, India
Could this be a substitute for a filter? My 75 gallon tank got totaled and I'm researching to replace everything and this came up
No, use a cannister or sump for filtration
I like other skimmers and filter but I normally use tetra filters due to them having lots of locations in which filters are sold.
ppl use skimmer for freshwater aquarium?
Would this get rid of the brown color wood makes

Excellent surface filter. But then again if you have to filter the surface of your aquarium, then you should probably change your setup. 🫧 🐟
How come the link not working to get the skimmer
Ive heard skimmers are pointless in freshwater tanks....?
How does a skimmer work like a filter?
will floating plants block it?
Which brand /model s it?
Oase350/600
Today i ate aloo ka paratha that thing got me to you and i also ate aloo matar ki sabji and coffee and a little curd and banana chips and much more
Yeah indeed 5 from these things thx for showing it
I would get this just to try and attempt to get the duckweed out of my tanks 😂🤔
Where's the link
Buyers guide coming soon! 🤤
Shame the output shoots downwards into the substrate
Basically its a gentle filter
I hope they’re using this the next time @Exxon or @BP makes a mess. Seriously. I want to help to propose a larger version of this to see if it’s feasible.
What are you on about lad?
Damn your mics popping son.
Make sure you feed floating food on the opposite side of this thing..
How awesome is that

Yaaay more cords
How loud is it?

"this thing sucks, but in a good way *smiley emoji*" thats kinda sus
Not available in Australia
I bet these are great for turtles if you can keep them from climbing it
Hahaha awesome! 😮😂
I’m thinking my duck weed would fill/clog that thing in 8.4362 seconds. Cool though! I’ve only used skimmers in salt water. So far…
I so wanted to buy this skimmer but blowing the water down well my soil would be all over the place..
You could possibly add something to redirect the flow, but I haven't tried it and it probably won't look as nice if you aren't crafty
look into the tidal HOB filters. they have a built in skimmer and the water goes back out through the top of your tank. it’s actually really cool. it’s an expensive filter but definitely worth it

Ok, I can dig that.

100% not shrimp safe though.
Guess this kid never met “guppies” yet!
I feel like the killifish in my 75 gallon would jump right in lol
That would be great if you could hide it that’s one of the reasons I went for a sump
👍👍👍
I’ve bought it.
You need to clean it every other day otherwise it doesn’t work

Gotta subtract another 2 points for using suction cups instead of magnets.
I didn’t know they have magnetic ones. Do they have filters with magnets as well?
@@Txnkid76 the Sicce shark pro comes with magnets. It’s not a skimmer though.

doesn't make sense to blow out the bottom at least include an 90° attachment

Jk, not sure how much it costs, should add that to the review. Seems pretty useful tho would love that for my aquarium
I feel ya, the small one is about the same cost as the Ehiem that everyone loves, but this big one is like 60 bucks 🤪

Naww I love my duckweed
Same, keeps my water quality good and makes my tetras less nervous (I only have a few because it’s a small tank)
Oase products are so elegant yet not practical like their aquariums lol
I didnt like it it was very loud and too strong for my 10 gallon I ordered the smaller version and still to strong
£60 for that, it may well work but it is just a small electric filter with a water top adaption. What a rip off.
8/10 ?
What do you expect for complete 10?
How do you steal credit card numbers with this? 😂
Love it
Nice place send me the information
Yeah that has to be the worst design, being it blows out the bottom most won't be able to use it unless you have really deep tanks.
