John, I've been married 33 years. Huge ups and downs and yes arguments but for us 'love' is the basis. Doesn't mean you have to be perfect (let's face it, no one is) but the journey through life with someone rather than alone, is worth every moment - sunshine and showers! I hope you might revise your thoughts - just be open. If you can give and she can give - then love will blossom and overcome!

Every romantic relationship should work that way, but due to trauma conditioning I choose partners poorly, and I’m willing to accept life alone, as the price of not being abused again. I don’t have a clue how to love. I don’t have a clue what it’s supposed to look like. As a result I end up with abusive partners, every single time. Matt. 19:12. I was made a functioning eunuch, by abusive narcissistic alcoholics. I can’t change the cycle. I can only let it end.

I can love .. But how do you love someone who basically terriorizes you ? In reality when faced with this is way harder than these guys here preach . They probably don't get it any won't ever get it ? .. It's make me question everything . My sanity . Why God put me here on earth etc ect . The practicalities and the realities even some Christians are faced is well a challenge to put it mildly !! Many will never really understand though . They have it a little too easy . They havn't had a very very rough life . These well the real tests show do I love Jesus for him or for what I can get 0ut. This sorts out the wheat and the chaff just Like that !! Good for thought though ❤
In real life it does not matter to this world whether you treat others with respect or you are kind and entirely honest. No one will give it to you in return. Absolutely no one. Be kind, honest, and respectful anyway!!!! In the end there is only 1 person that you have to answer to.
Only way to repent and be saved by Christ act 11:14-18 just follow the original Gospel and letters of Christ teaching not churches but Jesus will guide you personally to the end John 10:1-6!
