"The challenging king" (a lower ranking shogi player or in this context, Gira) "escapes" to 9九 (the corner of the board as the song says), before turning things around on the verge of defeat. I'm not a Shogi guy myself, so I had to do some JPN web googling for an answer when the lyrics got released.

Yama is basically kiramei yellow, but well tametomo was awesome so im not complaining. But really the intresthing thing about this season is there's no weak character, the show seem to have it figured out from chapter 1.

What's a little longer when you've already waited a year? 😉 In general, I try to prioritize English lyrics for songs that don't already have a cover out there somewhere. Not saying it'll never get covered - the OP/ED/insert songs are what got me to watch it in the first place - but Ore Koso is extra hard for me because so much of its catchiness is tied directly to the Japanese lyrics/puns.

It's the first time I heard Super Sentai Opening without the Sentai's name/ title mentioned in the song lyric.
Well there is "King" multiple times. And "Ouja" too. By this logic, Lupinranger (not Patranger) would be the first cause there's only "Lupin".
