+Erectile Dysfunction I don't really think it's fair to say that new kpop fans are "degenerating the achievements of veteran groups". It's a natural progression. People don't stay popular forever. Their fans get older and get more responsibilities. Trends in music, fashion, and dance change with time, and some groups don't adapt well to that change. People tend to relate more to people closer in age, so if the majority of fans buying and listening to idol groups is the younger generation then they will most likely relate more and support groups in a similar age group (obviously this is not always the case, but it's a trend I've noticed). Just because new groups are gaining popularity does not mean the fans are purposefully trying to weed out the older groups, and it also doesn't mean that the achievements from the older groups mean nothing. They are achievements for a reason. They paved the way, but it doesn't mean that other people can follow that path and build on it where the others left off. It's a never ending road that is constantly under construction (like summer in climates with snowy winters lol). Older idol groups have had their turn, and it's ok to let others have their chance to shine. Just because they are new doesn't mean they aren't talented. I actually think newer groups are a lot better in the performing aspect because their companies have learned what works and what doesn't over time, starting with the older groups. They dance better, their mv's are better, the songs are better produced. This also comes with and advance in technology. I was actually really surprised at how well some of the 1st gen groups did on this chart! Kudos to them!

There's a reason SuJu are the kings of the Hallyu wave. Their international popularity is no joke. I was expecting Big Bang to be giving them a run for their money though, I was really surprised about that.

As i slowly went through the video... my heart was stammering... TVXQ, Bigbang, bands like this in the lower top 10, i was eagerly waiting for the top spot to see who won.
Then i saw that EXO was no.2 and my heart went out as i was yet to see Super Junior. The screem that i let out when i saw my boys SJ as no.1 would put any banshee to shame.

This poll really shows that no matter how popular you are in Korea, it doesn't exactly translate to international audiences the same way (ie probably why VIXX, Beast, and Infinite were not as high). Still shocked Big Bang was so low considering both their korean and international base is huge but VIPs tend to be lazy in voting so maybe that's why. LOL!
