He fucked up her character too Its pretty obvious he had no fucking idea what he was doing with Artemis
For Idun Doi said "In this game, I tried to portray her as an idol-like figure, based on the image of her being pampered by the gods who want the apple." which I thought was kind of funny.
I'm pretty sure the reason Idunn looks like little Red is partly because of a previous depiction of her, partly because of Red Riding hood's association with YOUTH. Same with Idols, they're also strongly associated with Youth. So I don't think it's a stretch at all. Edit: Grammar

Personal Favorites Fionn Mac Cumail: The more Irish Characters the better because I love them. Loup-Garou: French Skinwalker werewolf wins in my book because he's also from Louisiana. Idun: ....yes Mananggal: It's a Filipino creature that is metal as fuck.
Loup-Garou is definitely my favorite, Werewolf motifs are generally really boring to me, so I love that they made a werewolf that has so much personality.
Not gonna lie, Nahobino and Amanozako to me is a parallel of Demi-fiend and Pixie, I can imagine a Nahobino bonus boss fight in the next smt game, having Amanozako, Fionn Mac, and for the last party slot possibly Idun or maybe Tao in her Pangea form.
Oh, and dude! I talked about this to someone on Twitter, but I think you missed a detail regarding Hydra's design! Namely... You see the singular head with the spiral patterns on the mask? Well, I'm sure you know that the Lernean Hydra has one trait that is mentioned in the story of Heracles' Twelve Labours regarding that Multi-headed monster. And I'm not talking about how it regrows two heads if one is chopped off unless the wound was cauterized. I'm talking about the immortal head. The one head that can still live without its body, which prompted Heracles to bury it under a rock. The head with the pattern IS the immortal one!
Personally I love Kaneko's Creativity and the unsettling/otherworldly feeling i get for his designs. Doi artstyle is to die for (His shading and linework is a Goal as an artist). With that being said, I would prefer if the human characters are designed by Doi, and the Personas/demons are designed by Kaneko's.
I like Idunn, shes adorable and pleasing to have around. Aogami is also pretty cool. And Fionn, such a great design. These three really stick out to me the most ^.^ And personal Top Place, Manananggal. Creepy half torn apart lady rocks :D
I actually like idun in this game. Not only is she cute as hell, but she kinda reminds me of Isola from Gunvolt Chronicles. I mean sure she does have some inspiration from Little Red, And your Typical Japanese Idol, but I think it works well for her. 10/10.

I can't believe they used that boob and butt pose for Artemis who's a goddess of hunt. Like it makes sense for someone like Cleopatra who's a seductress, but it's silly to give that pose to someone who's supposed to be like a warrior. I like Angel's and Manananggal's designs. Though I have to give it to Manananggal for being the best one for her superb animations that are both horrifying and erotic.

I was reading some interview stuff and he said they wanted to have a bunch of different types of demons, and with Manananggal the aim was a "horror" demon, which works super well. Genuinely one of my favorites.
Its from Filipino folklore. A lot of people would believe they exist even today. It derives from the word “tanggal” which means “remove”. The demon seems like a lady but turns into a demon by exposing her wings and detaching herself from her lower torso. Her weakness is the lower torso. if you can locate and sprinkle fresh salt on her exposed lower half, it would weaken the demon.
Personal favorite: Angel, that statue like pose, the way his robe and hair makes him look like both a man and a woman, and my favorite part, the circle behind his head, that doi said was based on the halo saints have in catholic paintings. Everytime i open the compedium i ponder putting him back on my team, even though im level 30 and he is 20
I know some people have polarizing opinions on either Idunn or Artemis (i was surprised to see her in F since she’s personally one of my favorite new demons in the game both design wise and gameplay). Idunn I wasn’t sure if I was going to like until I experienced some of the quest shes was involved in which made me like her even more. (P.S Don’t google old Artemis design, it’s beyond cursed)
As of writing this comment, owing a Lv71 Aitvaras, I just love this little guy. I could never fuse him away and eventually, he became my main fire magic demon
I'm not too far into the game. I get addicted to the fusion, then obviously have to level them up, then fuse again. Though certainly not to the extent in SMT4, where you could gain some massive levels by just repeatedly doing the quests in K's tavern. So far, I really like Kaya-No-Hime. I'm a big fan of healing spells that also give you a buff and her heal+defense is great. It's also a reason why Yosuke was one of my main's in Persona 4. An all heal + agility buff is fantastic.
My personal favorite new design in this game is one of the spoiler designs. All I'll say is, it looks sick as hell and reminds me of a Tokusatsu villain or at least the head does. That head really reminds me of Ultraman Belial.

I can agree with that. Too many of the new demons had to be proper characters in the story, and I guess they decided those characters needed to be mostly humanoid.

Hey guys, found out why idun is designed like that. In an interview with the design guy on some smt 5 chars ,theres this segment on idun: "...To be honest, I know that there are pros and cons to this kind of design, but in order to find out what the tastes and tolerances of today’s “Megaten” fans are, we took the design in an extreme direction for this game." So at least that works a bit as justification
Hydra, Amanozako, Loup-garou, Nuwa, Fionn Mac Cumhaill, Aitvaras, Mananangaal, Idunn and Artemis are my favorite demons out of SMTV. Hydra had that phallic design carried over from Mara while serving it's purpose akin to Yamato-no-Orochi; whereas Amanozako, Idunn, and Artemis are so frigging adorable, Loup-garou mastered the 'French werewolf' leitmotif, Nuwa and Mannagaal are some of the sexiest imo, and Aitvaras is pretty cute(a worthy successor to Mothman for sure). I agree that Angel's design was decent but missed that beautiful BDSM chick vibe, the fact Fionn doesn't speak in an Irish accent, and SMTV introducing me to a mythological vampiric monster from Indonesia, Mananangaal. This was my first SMT game, but lastly I couldn't appreciate Aogami more as the guide to SMTV's protagonist! He's like a hybrid between Jetstream Sam from MGRR and Amon from Devilman; it's just so exquisite!
I just wanted to say this about Idun: Does anyone else think she kinda looks like one of those porsline doll things? You know: One of those realistic looking doll things in Europe or something. The ones you typically see in horror movies where they come to life and try kill everything. Like Annabel. She kinda reminds me one of those things. Except she makes it work as an adorable innocent loving and caring beauty. Seriously am I only one who says this.
Angels SMT V design is epic. To me its a flawless design. The reason being that voice. Think about it... Its a fucking angel but sounds like its from the gates of hell XD. that and the way its been carrying me through the first 2 areas (Im on normal). Ive become such a fan of the design that I just switched him out to principality because of the similar voice/design. This is my first SMT V (also jumping on from the P5 bandwagon) and its quickly becoming my RPGOTY.
okay idk why but i love the smt khonshu design -- they somehow made him into a tumblr sexyman b4 everyone on tumblr decided to be horny for the mcu's bird skull version. there's an earlier design where he does look more like a mummy, and i agree, its the better design, but bishonen line khonshu looks very interesting lbr.
Bland looking anime girl where any connection to Artemis looks more like a tacked on after thought and I didn't like that I had to pay an extra 5 bucks to do her relatively boring story. There's just virtually nothing about her design that I find appealing.

The MT2 one with like 18 boobs? I'm not gonna say I particularly like that one either, but I like that it's actually based on real historic artwork of the goddess and wasn't just an anime OC with a few semi-relevant accessories slapped on to give plausible credence that this is actually Artemis.
You know, I really can't bring myself to dislike the new artemis design. Probs cause her OTHER design was one of the worst smt designs imo, including other phallic ones, so really anything is better than that

I actually like Artemis a lot in SMT 5, especially compared to how she used to look (seriously, she used to be a woman made up entirely of breasts....not even joking, look her up yourself if you don't believe me, she had breasts literally *everywhere* on her body. On her arms, her legs, even on her damn *HEAD* !!!!). I prefer her new look far more than her old look.
I honestly think puppet Angel looks bad, bias aside. It is 1 or 2 layers higher than the silliest, but still low in my list. Abdiel, Aitvaras, Artemis and Khonzu look really cool, Nuwa, Fionn and Hydra are AWESOME, but Idun takes the cake and that is before considering her hyperactive animations. The rest I didn;t mention are all ok, nice additions to the roster, but at the same time, the franchise is moving more towards to anime than ever, and that is a bit of a downer to me

I can agree with that. Too many of the new demons had to be proper characters in the story, and I guess they decided those characters needed to be mostly humanoid.

How are you able to get the boss demons? I’ve already beat the ones you mentioned in this video but had no clue you could recruit them to your party.
Some get unlocked through special fusion and some are basically just normal demons that are really high level

I sometimes heard it pronounced 'Day-mon' and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought amanozako was trying to be pixie but was closer to navi
I remember I used to always pronounce it as Day-mon, but then in Devil Survivor you've got Kaido's gang was called the Daemons and they just pronounced it the same as Demon (iirc) and I was just like...well now I don't know what to think! XD

I don't mind it if it's a core part of the game's identity like in TMS, but just having a random pop idol demon Norse goddess in the middle of one of the more serious SMT titles felt really awkward.

Hey guys, found out why idun is designed like that. In an interview with the design guy on some smt 5 chars ,theres this segment on idun: "...To be honest, I know that there are pros and cons to this kind of design, but in order to find out what the tastes and tolerances of today’s “Megaten” fans are, we took the design in an extreme direction for this game." So at least that works a bit as justification
i'm glad they didnt bring back keita amamiya for this one, i love his work in garo but his megaten demons were just too hard to look at

Hydra, Amanozako, Loup-garou, Nuwa, Fionn Mac Cumhaill, Aitvaras, Mananangaal, Idunn and Artemis are my favorite demons out of SMTV. Hydra had that phallic design carried over from Mara while serving it's purpose akin to Yamato-no-Orochi; whereas Amanozako, Idunn, and Artemis are so frigging adorable, Loup-garou mastered the 'French werewolf' leitmotif, Nuwa and Mannagaal are some of the sexiest imo, and Aitvaras is pretty cute(a worthy successor to Mothman for sure).
I agree that Angel's design was decent but missed that beautiful BDSM chick vibe, the fact Fionn doesn't speak in an Irish accent, and SMTV introducing me to a mythological vampiric monster from Indonesia, Mananangaal. This was my first SMT game, but lastly I couldn't appreciate Aogami more as the guide to SMTV's protagonist! He's like a hybrid between Jetstream Sam from MGRR and Amon from Devilman; it's just so exquisite!

Angels SMT V design is epic. To me its a flawless design. The reason being that voice. Think about it... Its a fucking angel but sounds like its from the gates of hell XD. that and the way its been carrying me through the first 2 areas (Im on normal). Ive become such a fan of the design that I just switched him out to principality because of the similar voice/design.
This is my first SMT V (also jumping on from the P5 bandwagon) and its quickly becoming my RPGOTY.

okay idk why but i love the smt khonshu design -- they somehow made him into a tumblr sexyman b4 everyone on tumblr decided to be horny for the mcu's bird skull version. there's an earlier design where he does look more like a mummy, and i agree, its the better design, but bishonen line khonshu looks very interesting lbr.

I am completely confused on why Artemis is F tier you didnt really explain it like the reason was obvious but it seems pretty cool to me.
Bland looking anime girl where any connection to Artemis looks more like a tacked on after thought and I didn't like that I had to pay an extra 5 bucks to do her relatively boring story. There's just virtually nothing about her design that I find appealing.
@@strain42 I dont think its amazing yeah but i wouldn't say its bland either. Maybe I just like her cuz of a Saint Seiya refrence of all things and her attack that hits 15 times, the most in the series.

The MT2 one with like 18 boobs? I'm not gonna say I particularly like that one either, but I like that it's actually based on real historic artwork of the goddess and wasn't just an anime OC with a few semi-relevant accessories slapped on to give plausible credence that this is actually Artemis.

You know, I really can't bring myself to dislike the new artemis design. Probs cause her OTHER design was one of the worst smt designs imo, including other phallic ones, so really anything is better than that

I actually like Artemis a lot in SMT 5, especially compared to how she used to look (seriously, she used to be a woman made up entirely of breasts....not even joking, look her up yourself if you don't believe me, she had breasts literally *everywhere* on her body. On her arms, her legs, even on her damn *HEAD* !!!!). I prefer her new look far more than her old look.
Idunn and Artemis for me are the most boring designs because I don't see them as mythological enough. They just look like silly girls with cosplay.

I honestly think puppet Angel looks bad, bias aside. It is 1 or 2 layers higher than the silliest, but still low in my list. Abdiel, Aitvaras, Artemis and Khonzu look really cool, Nuwa, Fionn and Hydra are AWESOME, but Idun takes the cake and that is before considering her hyperactive animations. The rest I didn;t mention are all ok, nice additions to the roster, but at the same time, the franchise is moving more towards to anime than ever, and that is a bit of a downer to me
