I know! I was in the 7th grade when I first heard them. Fast-forward to jut turning 16 in the summer of 2010 when Nightmare dropped, and it blew me away. I have listened to that album more than any thanks to having just gotten a car and riding around til the wee hours of the morning listening to it. Now I am 28, and this has blown my mind the same way Nightmare did. I never thought I would have an album that I related to as much as I did with Nightmare, but here we are. It is like they put all of my internal commentary of the world for the last 10 years into an album. I am so thankful. It is crazy to feel 16 again.

Agreed. This is not quite, but close to Dark Side of the Moon level musical quality. If M. Shadows’ voice holds up (which is not likely, unfortunately), A7X will be playing shows well into their 60’s or 70’s like Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, etc… They’ll come out on stage, practically assisted by their tennis ball shoed walkers. Lol And I’ll go see them.

I saw these dudes in Austin, Texas when they were kids during “sounding the seventh trumpet” tour with tsunami bomb at Flamingo Cantina. Then the next year in San Antonio with my chemical romance. Each show had about 20 people.

    "Cosmic"
    Fade
    From all that was before
    We shut another door
    But not a last goodbye
    Fate
    Has taken once again
    A fight we'll never win
    And time again we try
Left alone, I can't wait too long
    Fade
    Love
    We loved so many times
    And in so many lives
    Sometimes we got it right
    Pain
It found its way back in
    Until we meet again
    Into that good night
None too far as we chase through the stars beyond forever
    I'll follow you
Dancing in the wind as roses born again
    There you'll find me
Before the dawn of man, in castles made of sand
    There you'll find me
Writing in the caves as fire lights the way
    There you'll find me
Mask of royal glow don in pharaoh's clothes
    There you'll find me
    Let it go
    Yeah
Rings of dust and ice weightless in the night
    There you'll find me
    Let it go
Dancing in the wind as roses born again
    There you'll find me
Before the dawn of man in castles made of sand
    There you'll find me
Writing in the caves as fire lights the way
    There you'll find me
Mask of royal glow don in pharaoh's clothes
    There you'll find me
    From all that was before
    We shut another door
    But not a last goodbye
    Taken once again
    A fight we'll never win
    And time again we try
    I'm gone
    We loved so many times
    And in so many lives
    I'm gone
    Sometimes we got it right
    I'm gone
It found it's way back in

I lost my daughter just a little over a year ago, she was our second attempt at being parents and she came stillborn, before that we had a miscarriage. This song just moves me, I can’t listen to it in public or I’ll break down, I’m a drummer and I can’t even comprehend half of these rhythms, but somehow this is exactly how I feel in my heart, It’s really beautiful that Avenged Sevenfold can create such amazing songs. This song by A7X is like nothing I've ever experienced. And that's what this song is, an experience. It's beautiful in a way that it touched my soul. And that's what the fuk music is all about. A journey to self exploration. I hope you all know what you all are listening to, this song, these musicians, the band just gave you a door to go into and find that part of you that you haven't been in contact with in awhile and need to reevaluate your relationship with it. This song give me chills, and it get very important, cause it's the song that someone love a lot and our road got seperate and every time I listen to it, it get more and more intense. The end just want me to go see her and tell her how much she help me and give her a real last hug. I just don't want to look like a freak, so I said nothing when I needed to go. She's older, got a child, a boyfriend, a lifi. I just started mine. I didn't wanted to go, and she fought for me without me knowing it was her since the start, but I'm too old to come again, so now I'm left alone, with just sadness and pain and old memories. I still need her in my life

This song feels like the perfect follow-up to many of the songs from the Nightmare album. Starting from So Far Away all the way to Save Me, I felt like I was going through many different phases of grieving over forever losing someone.
So Far Away felt like attending a funeral and putting together a sort of facade to mask the hurt because you're trying to be grown up and mature about it, only for that facade to crumble to pieces in God Hates Us as you succumb to devastation. You're hurt, and you want the world to know you're hurt whether you want to admit it or not. In Victim, you haven't healed from the loss and you're begging for closure, maybe bargaining in your mind the people and things you'd trade away to somehow get back what you've lost. You might also be irritated and pissed at people trying to console you with talk about the Lord and His plan for you. In Tonight the World Dies, you're still trying to heal and it's taking months. You struggle to even have normal conversations with other people because sadness is the only thing in the front of your mind. Fiction deserves a mention because I refuse to let it go unmentioned, but it also feels like receiving a transmission from a loved one that traversed the astral plane to reach you that tries to put your mind at ease, but its intended effect is lost on you and instead, you demand better closure and more answers in Save Me. You think you've come to understand the entire picture of what it means to be on this planet, and it's grim as fuck. "We're only here to die."
And then, finally, after a long period of time, you get a second reply that gives you more of that closure and even challenges your nihilistic outlook on life in the form of Cosmic. Yes, you can think we live only to choose how we die, but a part of us manages to live on in some other way whether it may be through our preserved legacy, through our progeny, through the people we've influenced in life, and even after death, or through means that transcends beyond our understanding of time and space and that the forces that might've brought us together in the first place might've happened many times before in other lives and may continue to happen again. Like Finn And Jake, for those who're fans of Adventure Time.
That's my take on it anyways.
