The comment from Josh about the girls dancing in the gaming area made me chuckle! I love your videos. I just looked at your bio’s. Married at 17 & 19! That’s so great! My husband and I eloped to Las Vegas in 1965! We were 18 & 21! Still happily married which is a real blessing from God! Staying downtown isn’t for me!
Thanks so much for watching! Not sure what bio, but we aren’t married & definitely didn’t know each other as teens 😉! Luckily our life paths crossed almost 4 years ago and we’ve been enjoying the adventures together!
@@JoshRachael Omgosh! I heard this from someone! I guess I should have researched myself it I’m not really good at that. I am glad that you are together now and doing such great videos! ☺️
I've been to Vegas once. Stayed at the Golden nugget. I'm not picky on hotels and I thought the hotel was fine. One thing I didn't like was the 1 day I wanted to rest and nap and there was a rock concert going on next to my room outside haha. I'm thinking about staying here for my next trip. I'm worried about the noise now. I'll be staying 10 nights
This Hotel used to be Fitzgerald's. Never been to this property since it became the D. Won't play in the casino. The casino floor was more quiet when it was Fitzgerald's. At least you could hear the dealers. Wouldn't bother playing in the casino. If you play at any Boyd Group property you only need one card too. When I lived in Las Vegas every hotel had their own card. The Trump Hotel/Casinos, in Atlantic City, were the first where you could use one card at any Trump property. Don't want to stay at a party hotel. I like the Pioneer Hotel/Casino. You made a good honest review.
just found your channel. i was at the D a year and a half ago. we had a corner king also...i liked it, standard but clean. funny, we did not know there was a pool there lol we did know we could go to circa. i like downtown because of all the free freak show and music lol
You are not lying about the casino floor being loud at The D! Man I had to use hand signals like I was in the military with my brother to navigate through the floor 😂😂. Same with Circa too. Also for anyone planning to just visit the property, be prepared to have your ID ready cause they will check at the door for both The D and Circa.
No kidding! The D and Circa are legit on another level when it comes to noise levels. We did get into The D a couple times without showing ID, but Circa always caught us
Great video guys ...yeah, we have never stayed downtown... and don't ever have plans on staying there either...you really have to be into the crowds and the freaks....lol
Haha you aren’t necessarily wrong about that. We have an overall pros and cons of downtown coming out Sunday, might reinforce your thoughts even more 😂
love this one cause if i do stay downtown it will be the D love it there for 2 nights on a weekend one nice thing is walking to the next hotel is easy and lots of bands i also went to the pool once lol
Great review! We really like the Downtown Grand if we stay on Freemont. Not for the gambling, since it has a small casino. But it is much quieter, clean, affordable and near Pizza Rock! 🍕
We really like it just wish it was busier to add to the vibe and have never had a waitress come to the tables when there with a group so just a little something that would make it easier
We have been to Fremont Street a number of times, but it is not our taste for entertainment. We go for the restaurants and people watch. It is a Freak Show. Sadly, people will do anything for money. Vic & Anthony’s in the Golden Nugget is a nice place to eat. We have been in the majority of casinos along the Fremont Street Experience mainly just to say we did them. Thank you for telling all the details of the D. It was free! That should count for something.
The D and Circa are the last few that don't skimp on the free drinks when gaming, their pay outs are more relaxed and the table minimums are reasonable. Service at Circa and the D are always top notch.. I don't know who has a worse pool location, The D or Place Station.
Have not seen the pool at Palace Station, must be rough. Yea The D and Circa probably have the best drink service in all of Las Vegas from our experience
@@JoshRachael I will say it is better than before the renovation… prior to the renovation you had to walk through the casino, down a hall… through the receiving/ trash area (always smelled, and dirty). Now they built the new pool next to the parking garage basically in the middle of the parking lot. I will say it is really nice though. I think Palace Station is really under rated honestly.
We stayed a night there. Our room wasn't as nice as yours. As a comparison, if your was you average neighborhood Holiday Inn, ours was your average neighborhood Red Roof Inn...
@@JoshRachael exactly. We survived. It was a one night downtown stay. We had a room at Park, but wanted to do a Fremont visit. It served its purpose and a base to freshen up, change clothes and sleep.
Downtown is more relaxed during the daytime but at night, especially on the weekends we feel that Downtown is much more rowdy. We like the mix you can get by doing both from time to time
Going to Vegas for first time in February and staying at the D! So excited! Thanks for the review!
Have fun!
Stayed there for a bachelor party weekend a few weeks ago. Had a blast. Loud as hell at night but that's Vegas baby
Heck yes! perfect Bachelor Party Place

Great review, I love that you guys checked out and went in the pool in the parking lot😆 I always find that so funny
I would say palace stations pool location is just as bad.
Haha it’s like a Motel 6 in Random Nebraska

It would be hard to say it’ll be a quiet experience at the D!
We tend to stay on the strip more often!
Thank you for sharing, it was very helpful
Thank you!

Thanks for the tips!
I've stayed 3 times there, my favorite for Fremont. Friendly staff I found
No doubt and probably best drink service in all of Las Vegas

Golden gate also ID'S, but only Friday and Saturday.

WOW!!!!! You know, I'm not really a downtown Vegas person, so GREAT review and THANK YOU!!!
Thank you!
Glad to hear you both love the D!
We did enjoy it - only for short amount of time, but it was fun!
I stayed at the Circa in April. Will be at the "D" this July. Another great review! 👍
Awesome!
Great review of the D. I love the pool all to yourself. Sam's Town same thing.
Haha thanks so much. If only the pool was a tad warmer, the hot tub was great in the shade
Awesome video guys! We just stayed at The D two weekends ago and had a great time! Really enjoyed your review!
Does the El Cortez know about this?
Nice one guys! 🍻
Thanks so much!
Very realistic review!! Nice job representing.
Thank you!
love this one cause if i do stay downtown it will be the D love it there for 2 nights on a weekend one nice thing is walking to the next hotel is easy and lots of bands i also went to the pool once lol
Proximity to everything is so great downtown! Thanks Tracy

Oh nice. We have barely been in the Downtown Grand need to get there again
Their little coffee stand is the best coffee in downtown. It’s honestly better than our local coffee shops.
And a good price too!
What was the vibe like at Circa Swim? Was it an obnoxious Sausage Party?
fairly accurate
I will be there in 2 weeks can't wait
🙌🏼
I'm a local and stay there alot! But never stay on weekends!!!!! 3 times as much!!!! 60 total on week days!!!!?? Wtf!!!!
Dang that’s surprising. How is the vibe on weekdays?
I agree with you! We're locals, too and love the D. We always stay during the week. The parking garage, however, causes so much anxiety for me. LOL
I'll be there may 5th
Nice
Yea Josh Go Go Dancers like you don't know the difference between Go Go Dancers and Stripper 😜 sure brother
💃 👙
That’s the way to do late everyone see and make up there own mind, your just giving them a idea on what’s out there.
Thanks Brian for watching!!
I agree, that casino is the loudest. So loud that we couldn't hear the calls made at the craps table. Very annoying!
I believe that
The D just too easy😂 Good review thank you for not giving us the play-by-play of what each item in the room was I know what a mini fridge is lol
Thanks Mike, never get enough of The D!
Should have strayed at the Downtown Grand ...insane pool scene
Really??? 🤔 that’s interesting
Bar Canada is my favorite bar of all Derek's properties
We really like it just wish it was busier to add to the vibe and have never had a waitress come to the tables when there with a group so just a little something that would make it easier

Haha thanks Ted. It can definitely be too much for us as well. Good in small doses but can be great.
I do wanna visit Vegas like badly
Definitely worth visiting at least once!

During the week it’s not as bad
Nice
noisy party hotel sounds about right
Haha hard to say much else
Staying at main street station
Should be fun, we have never stayed there
how were the elevators they were horrible when it was fitzgeralds
They don’t stand out in my brain one way or the other, so I would guess they were ok
We stayed a night there. Our room wasn't as nice as yours. As a comparison, if your was you average neighborhood Holiday Inn, ours was your average neighborhood Red Roof Inn...
Never stayed at a Red Roof Inn - How about Super 8?
@@JoshRachael pretty comparable....no-tell motel vibe.
Haha gotcha, so the Basic room is one that should not be on our list if we can help it 😂
@@JoshRachael exactly. We survived. It was a one night downtown stay. We had a room at Park, but wanted to do a Fremont visit. It served its purpose and a base to freshen up, change clothes and sleep.
The D. Hahaha. That’s my move.
Hell yeah 🙌🏼
Like to party? Would you say the Downtown vibe is more relaxed than the Strip?
Downtown is more relaxed during the daytime but at night, especially on the weekends we feel that Downtown is much more rowdy. We like the mix you can get by doing both from time to time
Motel pool….
Roadside motel is definitely the vibe at the pool
Right up my alley! Get to have it all to myself...
I had an idea. Open a Vegas hotel and name it the V.
directly across from The D?
That’s crass.
That’s an expensive Holiday Inn…
Glad we didn’t pay
What a couple of cringe lords.
