This movie is SO underrated and deserved a lot higher on Rotten Tomatoes. The thing with indie films is people never like them because they are a bit slower, but its like that because it's realistic. In life there isn't always a climax, it just happens and so much goes into those small moments! This film was incredibly powerful and I highly recommend.
Fuck'n 100%. I'm watching it now, for about the 6th time
Donald Faison, Jim Parsons and Zach Braf???
YES.
This was a sweet, heart warming movie. I don't know why some people hate on it so much. But who cares, it's a great movie for me.
Exactly I really liked it
Yes, I liked it very much and so did my teenage daughter. I think it appeals to people who like films that explore the psychology of ordinary people.
This is such a brilliant movie, that more people need to watch. Zach Braff wrote an amazing story, and the cast was phenomenal.
I love movies with a soundtrack that matches the story perfectly.
This is the least information about the plot I got from a trailer...ever. Still gonna watch it, becuz JD & Turk
Yeah, because JD & Turk...and the rest of the cast. And the soundtrack. And everything else. You're right, there's not much information about the plot in this trailer, but boy, does it look (and sound) beautiful...
I mean I really, really, really hate to be this guy but you guys know that JD and Turk are fictional characters right? There names are Zach and Donald, and calling them JD and Turk is kind of disrespectful if you think about it, its been over 4 years since they ended scrubs, while yes we all came to love them from that, they as actors want to be known for more than just one roll on a popular TV show, they want to show you that they can be more than that, that's why Zach and Donald do more movies. Sorry if you think I am out here like crucifying you, but I feel so many people do this, associating their fictional identities with their real ones that they just automatically see them and say 'oh its JD and Turk.' I just find it really sad that their fans whether they be new fans or old ones wouldn't learn or even just type out their real names when they talk about them. Lol sorry again for ranting.
Sean Dauch JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! JD & Turk! Cox!
thats how ALL trailers should be... not give away the whole fuckn movie in a trailer !
***** I wouldn't have to be that guy if there wasn't so many ignorant fucks out there. then you would have to hate me would you?
Is it bad that I want to see this movie based solely on the soundtrack? Because I love the soundtrack for this movie sooo much
Eh it's not that bad. I mean I want to watch the movie solely because Zach Braff and Donald Faison are both in this movie (they co-acted major roles in Scrubs.)
If you are a fan of Hozier, you sir are correct. I just feel like it makes so much sense cause of the soundtrack.
Hozier? What are you talking about? The song is So Now What by the Shins
That's pretty much the main reason I watch all his movies is for the amazing sound tracks in them.
It sold me right away. That and the saving part
This movie is amazing, honestly. Zach Braff is a very dividing director, but I love the way he uses soundtracks to add emotional impact and also that he uses characters that aren't quite emotionally matured or prepared for what they go through in the movie. It's a coming of age movie about an adult. Critics didn't like that, but who's to say that every adult has to know what they're doing straight away?
6 years later, I finally found this film on Bluray and watched it after adding this trailer to my "watch later" playlist as a reminder. I really enjoyed it.
0:31 ITS STANLEY!!!
Song at 1:00 is called "So Now What" by The Shins
thanks m8
Logan P
i thought it was called , "Son Oww Hat" by T he's hi NS
After seeing Garden State I will see any Zach Braff movie. He is brilliant.
YES
'Wish I Was Here' is the story of Aidan Bloom, a struggling actor, father and husband, who at 35 is still trying to find his identity; a purpose for his life. He winds up trying to home school his two children when his father can no longer afford to pay for private education and the only available public school is on its last legs. Through teaching them about life his way, Aidan gradually discovers some of the parts of himself he couldn't find.' - For anyone asking what the plot/storyline is for the film, and damn, does it look and sound tasty.
Decided I was going to watch it in the first 23 seconds and paused the trailer. That was all I needed to see.
Even if you don’t get the plot from the trailer this is honestly a beautiful movie and the soundtrack they used is amazing
Just watched the movie and all I can say is wonderfull work...zach braff did exactly what he promised to do...i think this will be one of those movies that i watch year after year...great work
This movie surprised me. Just watched it on Netflix to have something running in the background, but couldn't take my eyes off of it. Made me laugh, cry, and think. Well done, Mr. Braff! Oh and the soundtrack is out of this world good. Thumbs up!
The soundtrack for this movie is absolutely incredible...!
This trailer itself is a piece of art Life-like I come back to it regularly ❤
just watched the movie an hour ago - it's really really good and heartwarming ..
Love this movie so much, it gives me so many smiles and some tears too
tears of joy that it is over. you jerk
Did you actually watch it Joshua? Because if you did and didn't like it, there must be something wrong with you
"When we were kids, my brother and I used to pretend that we were heroes, the only ones who can save the day. But maybe we're just the regular people, the ones who get saved."
As a muslim a really appreciated the scene where he tells his son "NOT all arabs are bad!"
Thats cool of Zach to say, Not all Israelis/Jews are bad, too.
Get over yourself dude
Yes, and it's a great thing for the writer to put into a film about a Jewish family. Hollywood has historically been very anti-arab, unfortunately.
Ashton, that isn't very nice and it won't win you any converts so just stop.
Lost4ever300 shut the fuck up, I’m tired of muslims saying I find that offensive. Fuck off
me 2
I'm so fucking (pardon my french) sick of people dissing this movie because Zach Braff directed it and starred in it. I absolutely LOVE this guy and everything he does (Scrubs, Garden State, hell, even his work on stage, which says a lot because i'm not a big fan of theatre.)
It seems to me the only folks who have negative things to say are the ones who haven't seen the film or are relying on reviews. Well let me tell you something, don't make uninformed comments until you've seen the film yourself and can form a valid opinion.
PS - I'm so excited to see this film, even though it's probably not going to be released in my town and i'll probably have to catch it online. Also, i'm hooked on the soundtrack my god!
I have always disliked Zach Braff ..but in this movie I've changed my mind ..I fucking love him now
There is no French in your comment, just a bunch of English.
another great set of soundtracks from braff. thank you master song selector.
I want to see this movie more than I've ever wanted to see any movie in my entire life!
Songs:
0:06 - 0:51 Radical Face - The Mute
0:58 - 2:45 The Shins - Simple Song
The relationship between me and my Dad is very unique and I decided to see this movie on the synopsis which never says that part of the plot deals with Father and Son not getting along. Still a well made film.
My absolute favorite movie I have rewatched it countless time and I will rewatch it countless more times.
Saw this film yesterday with my girlfriend. We loved it. Funny and touching. You can relate to at least someone in this film. I will own the Blueray. I recommend you see it!
Absolutely Amazing Film!
Zach Braff you've done it again!
This was a great follow up to Garden State. He has the writing talent and eye for film. Not to mention this was paid for by the fans.
This movie made me cry all the tears.
It's good to see JD & C-Bear on the same screen again.
The trailer doesn’t do justice this film is amazing
Garden State is my favorite movie so I feel obligated to watch this
The "this pamphlet could save your life" moment was pretty funny.
100% sure I'm going to bawl my eyes out. Anyone with me?
i see this and immediately think 'YES, TURK AND JD ARE BACK'
I almost cried and this is just the trailer :)
God, Zach has such great taste in music. Garden state and now this.
God I love James Mercer. Definitely going to see this!..love that Braff loves the shins
This is one of those movies I probably won't see for a while. I know I'll still watch it loads though
Seriously, these comments saying the trailer looks shit and 'whats it about?' you whinge when a trailer gives away too much. You just can't win with some people
Zach's comment at the end of this video is 100% true; HOWEVER we all want to be the hero.
The one thing that made me excited about this movie (besides Zach Braff) is that The Shins wrote a song just for it!!!! James Mercer and Zach Braff never fail to impress me
got goosebumps when I saw jim parsons
The Grandpa’s bit about the contacts 💔❤️
Best trailer song in a long time. Already addicted to it. I work in a cinema, and though the movie wasn't released in my country officially, there was an event for an organization with this movie, so I sneaked in to see it (missed like 5 first minutes). I fell in love with the movie, the characters and the soundtrack. Can't wait for it to be released so I could take my family and watch it again :)
Oh, and I think the trailer reveals the exact amount of information that needs to be known. No reason to show more of the plot. Great trailer with no major spoilers, and not one that collects all of the movie's highlights: meaning the movie contains so much more great moments, so don't worry.
One of my top 5 favorite movies
I saw this a week ago, I was a backer on kickstarter so I got a link to watch it early.
I watched this movie as my dad was dying and though he made it out, this film is a pain fest for your heart. I like it for that reason
JD and Turk are back? Well, that means there's stull hope for a new Rush Hour movie, right?
Zach's eyes are mesmerizing.
haha sheldon cooper is in it lol best movie ever!
I can't stop watching the preview!!!!! I want to see the movie!!! :/
I watched this movie so many times it is a very great film
I cried so hard at the end of this movie😢😢😢
I remember when I was going to church and the sermon aligned with this movie. This movie actually brought me closer to God. Zach Braff is such a talented individual. I hope that he continue to make movies like this.
If nothing else, points for bringing back Kate Hudson's Almost Famous hair.
JD TURK and SHELDON... BEST ACTORS OVERLOAD =)
Did any One have a link 4 downloading this Full movie ?? plz
really cool! the shins' sound fits right in :)
I just want to see this so much!
That last line was definitely a dedication to Zach's brother, who co-wrote the film.
this was a good movie...the lil boy was funny as hell 😂😂😂
This movie is brilliant. A must see!!
BEST.TRAILER.EVER.
What brand is Zach's leather jacket? 1:43
Such an amazing movie.
I don’t care if everyone didn’t love this movie. I did and that’s good enough for me. A Rare films that make you think about your life and priorities.
I like the trailer cause most trailers give away all the good parts in the movie while this one leaves you on your toes , I am definitely seeing the movie
i plan on watching this today. Looks like a good film
just saw this on kick starter as a project so I jumped on TH-cam to check on its progress to find out it is already made and completed and came out in 2014!!!! WTF!!! AHA KNOW WHAT IM WATCHING TONIGHT
pledged for this film on kickstarter, can't wait! anyone know the first song?
I just saw this film last night. I know it got bad reviews but it was actually very good. Filled with emotion and lots of laughs. It's not the best film you'll see, but I think critics were a little harsh on ratings. I recommend it.
I cried watching this movie
I freaking love this movie ❤️
I'm soo going to watch this!
Zach Braff might be the most talented actor in Hollywood!
It's a rare thing an intelligent American comedy so when one does come along i like to shout about it. Wish i was here starts off as a normal comedy about a disfunctional family but as it continues you begin to realise it's much more than that.
This is film about faith ( or the lack of it ) , bereavement and the unity of family.
There are some lovely performances from the two child actors Joey King and Pierce Gagnon and Zach Braff is really good as their father.
A pleasant surprise.
8 out of 10
what an incredible movie
Love this movie so much
Me too. It's one of my favourites.
Natali Kardava me too. this is my absolute favorite
What is the title of the song that used in this trailer?

What is the name of the song played background !
ONLY WATCHING IT FOR JIM PARSONS!
Jd and Turk are back never though I'd see them back in the same movie
Love this movie :)
Gonna be best film ever.
This was an amazing movie! it was just sooo sweet, and heartwarming and emotional. I mean, i laughed, i cried and it was so full of all kind of emotions. I am a huge fan of Jim Parsons, and not just because of him playing Sheldon, but it's just that he actually is a great human being AND a fabolous actor. I understand that he has been co-writing this movie, and it just made me feel so happy because of alle the good emotions i felt when i was done watching the movie. I really think that it just tells us so much about his real life character, all the good feelings this movie awakens. It is after all 2015, and i can say this with all honesty; i've really missed a movie like this for a long time now. AAND great acting and perfect chose of the actors! i really recommend it :))
+Asli Can Uysal Parsons had nothing to do with the script or the making of this movie, that was all Zach Braff and his brother. Give credit where credit is due for fucks sake.
+Asli Can Uysal it was a really bad movie
Can't wait to watch this!
Kickstarter filled that swear jar!
Looks very intriguing. I shall give give it a gander.

A struggling actor, father, and husband tries to find his identity when he chooses to home school his children

Obie wan Jabronie actually it's not. You should watch it before you form an opinion because right now what is your opinion based on that it's "shite"?
