So well deserved!!! 👏👏 As Aryna always said in her interviews last year" we're not losing we're learning". And she sure did. She grew so much, worked hard, battled an injury and came back stronger than ever. Tough lessons from last year made her a better player overall. She should be SO proud!!!! Lets keep it up Tiger 🐅🐯 Her personality is also one of a kind, she's so likeable.
Sabalenka knows how to play beyond her own boundaries....she can play outside of the box so to speak. She goes for shots full out with all of her energy and succeeds by taking these extraordinary chances that others would simply underplay or give up on expending their energy..
A superb match, where both players thrilled the spectators with their skilful rallies. Both players at the peak of physical fitness gave everything, with Sabalenka’s power, weight of shot and athleticism, giving her a definite edge over Pegula, who to be fair was a worthy opponent, since she played intelligently and courageously. Both players are great ambassadors for women’s tennis.
@@supersports_videos calm tf down, ppl who go to watch the highlights or full event often wait to see the result so there's some real suspense, it makes it more entertaining.
Sabalenka is a great player, but she's so loud, it's borderline annoying, kind of harkens back to Sharapova and her loud grunting. but she beat her straight up anyway, so congrats. I really wanted Pegula to win it though.
I accept players and coaches being caught on camera, but "other players from other sports" or "famous people"-please stop that. We don't care about them.
Last year for Coco this audience was very offensive towards Aryna, but for their White girl Jessica, even the one from New York itself, they were actually nice to Aryna. You all see the privilege? Or the preference? Or the indifference towards Whites? But I think Jessi has more class than Coco, Jessi was okay with the somewhat balance, Coco ate it all up just about.
Pegula doesn't deserve any sympathy. She's a whiner. And she's obnoxious and privileged sounding in her interviews... and rarely compliments her opponent.
Gosh I can't stand Sabalenka. Such a dull, boring, one-dimensional game. WTA tennis is supposed to be test of skill and tactics - not trying to smash every ball for a winner. If Iga Swiatek 🇵🇱 ever loses the number 1 ranking then I'm done watching WTA tennis.
Tennis has been damaged by modern rackets, which allow the players to hit winners from even behind the baseline. Someone can be being outplayed, out positioned, and yet, they can hit a winner from anywhere. This defeats the idea of setting up a point. Two ways to remedy this: Allow only wooden rackets for pros, and SLIGHTLY INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE BALL. This will slow the game down so that there will actually be some long rallies. Short rallies HAVE NO DRAMA. Sick and tired of watching 4 and 5 shot rallies... mostly 3-shot rallies? Yeah...
...also, modern rackets have such power, that there is very little net play. It's a blazing groundstroke game, primarily. It's suicide to come to the net, except to finish off a puff ball. The game has lost finesse, and the variety of shots that used to exist. You really only need a 100 mph forehand... which is what most players have.
@@charlesvorones3612 I think realistically we're stuck with modern racquets designed by supercomputers. But it's relatively easy to change the dynamics/the physical properties of the tennis ball 🎾 itself - in such a way that it travels a lot slower.
Lol if anything Iga has a one-dimensional game. Sabalenka has started to mix it up a lot more, Iga still looks like a deer in headlights anytime she goes past the service line. Her net game is nonexistent
Sabalenka is a woman you freak! She just happens to be very tall. Not all women are small. Women all come in different shapes and sizes. We’re not all carbon copies of each other.

Pegula's calmness on court is exceptional, even when she lose a point.
She has over 5 billion dollars in her checking account. For her this tournament is "play for fun" game.
Great match by both! Thanx for releasing the condensed full match!!

Sabalenka raised her level or back to her normal level in the last four games.

I admire Pegula's pluck, but she just doesn't have the power necessary to win a major.

In the end the match was won on unforced errors.
I was shocked by both this and how short the rallies were. Reminds me of 2.5 matches.
In the end you're such a hater😂

Idc what anyone says i like her

It's amazing with a serve so bad, Pegula can be ranked so high.
Nothing wrong with her serve.
alooo 9800😊😊

more like "I await" or "I wait"
The US fans played a big role in this, if they were on Pegula's side, sabalenka stood no chance.
Big Lenka coming into net with volleys knew this was her match to lose.
