- How good or otherwise is the new innovative menu system Flow from Parallel 42? I put it to the test in my HP Reverb G2 to find out.

Cracking overview Mark, thanks. You have far more patience than I do! As soon as I saw the panel in VR I uninstalled. Might have to give it a go again thanks to your video 👍
Same here. I tried the free version, saw the panel, uninstalled. Also, I don't find it "reasonably priced". This is the kind of "product" that would be a free community mod for any other game. Only in the flight sim world, it's a €/$/£ 25 purchase for the complete version. For a UI enhancement! And, may I add, what a moronic move to sell a crippled version for 60% of the price, why don't they just go triple-A all the way and add micro-transactions, loot boxes and a season pass?
The default toolbar is fine. It's not like I'm constantly interacting with it. I use it when I set up my flight, then I turn it off, and I usually don't need it any more until I've finished my flight. From my point of view, this "product" is totally over-hyped.

You seem like a detail guy. If you double-click the time reference in the center of the time widget it snaps to the current time. All the wheels can be named "SimHanger". A good branding opportunity. I know branding can be popular but it does matter. The mod ""HondaJet ELITE S" logo for all stock repaints" will replace the Hjet logon the engines.

A great video and a brilliant idea from Parallel 42. The window thing is a real deal breaker for me unfortunately. I already have a large Navigraph window open and Sky4Sim. In 2D this is brilliant, in VR, test the free version first!
They've made changes since I first tried it. Back then like you I felt it was pretty unusable in VR. I just tried it out again and it is a lot better, but still very quirky. You can make it work well in VR with a bit of finesse. But the huge problem is you spend 15 minutes futzing with the panel which is hard to manipulate (since it is invisible now, which is both a blessing and a curse) and then you finally get it setup the way you want... and it doesn't save it's state. So if you close the panel then re-open it? You get to do that all over again :(
They need to :
1. Make a way to toggle the MSFS panel visibility to make it easier to adjust, then hide it when you are done
2. Make the panel save state properly so you can set it up once then be done with it ever again!
3. Ideally make an option to HIDE the settings cog that sits outside the wheel, and instead make one inside the wheel
Needs a bit of work for VR but it's certainly got potential.
Very good in 2D mode yes.
Although to be honest it seems a bit of an unnecessary expense.. certainly for me.

I heard on discord that the 2024 msfs might have something simular
The biggest disappointment (in VR) for me was that the only way to interact with the wheel is the mouse. Yes, you can assign a button to bring up the wheel, but after that you have to release your hand from the controls and fumble for the mouse.
I believe that you can use an Xbox controller to control the menu too.

Greatest feature: It can work with LVARS and scripting, so allmost everything in FS is possible.
Biggest diappointment: When using a xbox controller in vr and having the panel in the center - even when invisible - when You bring the center of Your view inside the invisible panel , the gamepad stops working. So no inputs are made to the aircraft. When hovering a helicopter and "touching" the flow panel with Your vr center view, You will crash immedetially. :(

Both are good, very good. My choice is the HJET

I just uninstalled, I didn't like it ... Need update to get rid of the panel and control it with buttons to easy access.. the original still the best
Even with recent updates, mine wont stay put in VR, you place it somewhere then close it and it reappears elsewhere, often by itself.. kinda not so great for vr

How did you get just the wheel up? When I do it it's in a box.
Move your mouse away and the box fades as shown in video

Can you add vatsim to the wheel?
If you can get it in the top toolbar you can get it in the wheel. In the pro version - it supports java scripts so it would be possible I assume.
