Excellent report. Brother Dangote is leading the way for Nigerian entrepreneurs. We, in the African diaspora are watching and supporting his work. Criminal enterprises that have been stealing Nigerian natural resources for decades are not going to leave Nigeria without a fight.
A free, objective press and journalism can help expose what is going on in Nigeria with regards to its natural resources, and to generate public support for Nigerian national development. Keep up the great work Arise News.

Turnaround maintenance since 2002 of dead refineries that have produced next to nothing has cost the FG over NGN 17 trillion. Now someone builds a state-of-the-art refinery with USD 19 billion and they won’t let him produce. At this point, Dangote’s fight is ours. It is very sad and unfortunate. Virtually most of the FX generated by the government are spent on importation of petroleum refined products by the NNPC and these had increased the demand for FX and invariably will continue to outweigh supply which will eventually has being raising the exchange rate for $. The Federal government instead of the bickering over the quality of petroleum products refined by Dangote refinery and its envisaged monopoly ought to be selling the 450,000 bpd qouta for demostic consumption to Dangote refinery . The 450,000 bpd is to be sold to the refinery in Naira and at a discount. This will give the government the latitude to regulate the pump price on all the refined products produced by the Dangote refinery thus a win-win situation. With this arrangement in place government will be providing subsidy not on monetary terms but on product basis and may even decide to fix the pump price of pms, diesel and aviation fuel at N100/litre because of the discount and payment in Naira it gave to Dangote refinery.

The height of corruption in this country is alarming, just look at how wicked people are. The greed in them, do not allow them to do right thing. If we want to get this issues right, people must be punished for sabotage . Very disheartening, that a man stake his resources to help make things right and this is what he is getting. May God help us.

Even worse is the fact that NNPCL is a shareholder of the same Dangote Refinery. The Tinubu Government should fix the optics and sack these people.

Who are the ones that told you guys that when he get crude price will go down?
What has he done with the price of Cement and sugar that the raw material are produced in Nigeria?
The refinery belongs to Nigeria, The federal government under Buhari did invest there and that is monopoly.
What happened to the rest Cement they Capet if Dangote is no monopolized?
No sentiment here, the agreement with Buhari will not work with this new government so he need to make a new deal.
Give him all the crude, oil price will not change.
Dollar increase this man increases cement all in name of Dollar when all materials used in production of the cement has nothing to do with dollars.

This is the same problem that has kept Nigeria in darkness for years. No light. Same reason why our refineries cannot work. Oil marketers are demons. I do not support monopoly but we must do better. A nation progresses when there is competition. Oil marketers do bribe the regulators to do the dirty job . That is what is going on.

What a kangaroo country against their own-Dangote. I sincerely reserve my comment regarding unscrupulous, indifferent and discrimination against Innoson Motors in Anambra state. Any reasonable country leadership constantly advocating for made in their own country. Because, it’s a great venue to grow the economy of real country but not in Nigeria 🇳🇬 where criminals that are very egotistical than being patriotic by investing heavily on their own.

The Nigerian petroleum regulator's approach has raised concerns about its commitment to promoting local investment and economic growth. The regulator's treatment of Dangote, a significant domestic investor, has sparked worries about favoritism towards foreign investors. This situation highlights the need for the Nigerian National Assembly to exercise its constitutional oversight responsibilities and ensure accountability. A comprehensive review and reorganization of the petroleum industry may be necessary to address these concerns and create a more conducive environment for local investment. Additionally, the challenges faced by Dangote and other domestic investors underscore the need to address issues that may be deterring investment from the diaspora community. Creating a more supportive environment for local investment is crucial for Nigeria's economic progress.

There is no need to seek a 'reconciliation' between the warring sides. If a public official would be so brazen and untruthful, then he needs to be given the boot. No, 'pally pally' about this.
These children in government should be told in plain language that they are just that, children.
No nation should be left at the mercy of children... people who just want to live for the day rather than build a future for us all.
