Does the carbon fiber look more of a dark charcoal gray or fade gray looking over time? As was debating carbon or gloss black spoiler, have alpine white F36 with the gloss black trim so was thinking to match trim or the carbon mirror caps. I like your use of blue painters tape, and would advise for novice or less patient to put around edge of adhesive, as those eraser wheels generate mild heat, or on older, or worn paint, can burn through the clear coat easy. 😁
I had the same style spoiler on my F30 335xi and I loved it. FYI, a Ford Transit vans grill will pop it right off when rear-ended lol

Fade really depends on how good the resin is on the CF. I have seen some fade badly, some look brand new many years later.
