saw two people on a floor that kept fighting against each other and the same guy constantly losing. any time i tried to go against one of them, they would instantly quit and go back to their buddy. i see what was going on now
@Raynfgc honestly I was expecting a little much... I just hope this doesn't cause a huge wave of plugging. Had a potemkin handle me for two games and on the third he plugged as soon as I learned how to get around his pressure and get in on his defense.
As someone stuck on floor 2, I can confidently say I only play the game to have fun, and anybody who plays it just to get celestial might need a break lol
Why do they need to take a break for trying to have fun by progressing and getting better? Just cuz you're hardstuck floor 2 doesn't mean everyone else wants to be for the sake of casual fun. Competitive fun exists too.
This is so good and hillarious. Altho i'm not striving for celestial, pun intended, my younger brother with whom I started playing a week ago just got at floor 10 with Axl without knowng what RBPY RC are and having no clue what blocks what. On the other hand I, even after this couple of days of training to go against him, I get 1:5. HE just destroys me and at this point I have no idea is this a skill issue or he is just cracked out of the box

Damn, so the last part of your video is the reason why everyone is hating the tower system of this game. I just started playing Strive for a month now, and ironically, my current main is Happy Chaos as well. I got beaten a lot and constantly go up and down between F2-F3. HC is definitely a really hard character compared to both Elphelt and Aba (which have kind of the same time training like HC but I could climb to f5-6 easily), but somehow I'm still dedicated to playing HC. I felt like playing him made me think more seriously of what's happening in the match instead of going smashing like I did on these previous characters.
I think tower is a great way to get good at the game. I was bouncing between floors 3-5 a month or two ago and now I’m at 9-10. Although I feel like there should be something beyond celestial because floor 10 feels bloated with players ranging from incredibly worse to incredibly better than me
The rank system is a joke. I got floor 9 of of my first 16 games on day 2. Then ran a set with my friend on floor 9 we went like 4-3 and I got floor 10. I was scared to play because of the high levels up there. And I only had a level 60 Millia. So I took a break from rank and went to a server and asked specifically for celestials. I sparred with a bunch of nice people and am gonna try the challenge again. After watching this I realize I probably would have been fine, but I'm still happy I put some work in.
I think its moreso for just getting to celestial unlock. Basically just be scumlord McGee until celest and then once u have it unlocked you shed your gremlin skin and go back to being normal player is what i took from the vid

It's the quickest and most optimal way to get celestial if someone is better than you there isn't a point in vsing them again if they are better, it's just going to make the climb even longer especially if you keep doing it, I'm not saying this is how you should play all the time this is just the most optimal for people wanting to push a new high or get into celestial whether for ego banner badge unlocks world dollars whatever, the stuff said is the optimal way to get into celestial is it cringe? 200% but people want to win more than they lose and this is how the game is designed and nothing stopping them from doing these things so blame Devs xD
I was celestial when this game first came out, and honestly, it wasn't too bad to get there. I stopped playing when Jack-O came out and started again recently on PC, so I'm back to lower ranks. I have realized at this point that getting celestial is pretty much impossible unless I put in a ton of time to catch up to everyone. Playing anyone lower than celestial is honestly boring because they just kind of suck, and it's honestly a waste of my time because the way the lobby works means I have to sit through so many load screens if i decide to stay on my assigned floor. There is almost no one playing, too, so everyone that would be at my skill level are just non-existent, so my two options are people who I wouldn't realistically be able to beat for awhile, or people who have no idea what they are doing. I would love if they would just remove the stupid lobby and just let me play the game, at least then I wouldn't have to waste my time with all those load screens, but even then I still would have to contend with celestial players who have far exceeded where I was before. I pretty much just play in the open lobbies now, even if I get my ass whooped 10 games in a row. ArcSys has made ranked just unbearable
My issue is that I am too good for floors 1-9 but get smacked the second I hit 10. Then I go back to 9 win all my games back to back and am back to 10. The process just repeats.
It's cringe but it's optimal right? If people want to win it's the best thing to do to get into celestial, I'd hate if everyone did this all the time but that's how the game is designed needs to get fixed imo

Great tips, I’ll also add (especially for something tempting for OCE players since the connections are better than playing NA) - ignore the JP floors, they’re cracked, even on floor 7/8.
Get good :3 keep in mind johnny and baiken are considered some of the weaker characters at the moment so generally you have to play better than the person who is piloting slayer for example

That feeling when you get to celestial legitimately and not dodging fights 😎 Take the L's, watch the replays where you lost, look at top players for your characters and see what they do and apply it to your gameplay, lab your combos and then lab your combos while fighting lvl 100 CPU, then once you got your BnBs and crazy combos down, fight in open park. After you feel confident in open park and you can do the combos you practiced on real opponents, go to your floor and rank up. Be honorable and take the L's or W's FT3. If you cant get 3-0 or at least 2-1 a few times youre meant to stay at that floor. Don't cheat yourself.
Yeah i do everything you say but in reverse, i play Ram and take every enemy i see (i only see people over lv 100 in floor 10 help me) and if i lose i just rematch so that i have 3 loses in a row. And then i have a losing streak and jump from 10 right to 8
If people played like it would ruin the educate of guilty gear It’s better to just get boosted by a friend if you really want it Passed that guilty gear doesn’t have ranked, tower is just a way for people of relatively similar skill to enjoy the game It’s not meant to precisely calculate skill like a normal ranked system it simply provides a space for people of mostly similar skill level players to practice against and get some wins against

Wish people in OCE would play more tower, but knowing all the flaws in the system, I can see the reason why it’s more common to see a full lobby in park then a floor with more then 5 people.
It's also because OCE is too small to have the player base divided among 11 floors so everyone plays park, if you want to play tower you gotta go Japan or America's :((
I genuinely prefer how the tower works rather than the Tekken 8 system. The tower is a lot less serious than a rank system to me, but it still does it's job (exploits aside). Tekken's ranked system pretends to be serious, but fails horribly. I much prefer this than a hastily made rank system.

INCORRECT BUZZER SOUD EFFECT no honestly the tower is excellent for new players as it keeps them safe and vsing same skill level players and is a lot less serious but you also need a serious side of a ranked system something which people can strive for and keep pushing to keep people engaged so they can keep the elements of tower but they need something higher than celestial that works like a traditional rank system
Practically all servers are dead except for EU, US and Japan. Even Koreans play on Japan despite having their own server, so you should consider switching to it too.
The goal is to help the celestial climb and make it easier to get in and the tips are helpful for people trying to get celestial, what you want me to say bro? Get good? Axl is a knowledge check character and there are like 4 in existence, I didn't see an Axl until my first game of celestial xD
