I totally agree with you. It's very tragic that Africa has allowed these fast food restaurants to pop up all over the continent. Their foods lead to obesity, and terrible diseases such as diabetes. They should've never allowed these fast foods in Africa.

Beautiful Namibia 🇳🇦 . SA& Namibia have long historical ties due to Namibia having been part of South Africa during apartheid. SAns to this day don’t even consider Namibians as foreigners when they are in SA...we have those ties even though we don’t share many indigenous languages& cultural practices. It’s a peaceful & orderly country with racial diversity similar to SA with majority being indigenous Black Namibians along with Nama& Khoi people (the first ppl of the world), Coloured Namibians(mixed race ppl), white Namibians who are mostly Germans& Afrikaners.
One thing I hope for Namibia is that Germany recognises & pays reparations for the genocide on the indigenous ppl they carried out in Namibia.
Its Damaris being excited for KFC😊
Anyway enjoy your stay, sure you’ll love the cleanliness, quiet& peace in Namibia. It’s one of the most developed countries in Africa, in top 10 highest GDP per capita.
it’s consistently rated as cleanest country in Africa along with Rwanda. But one of the key stand out factors about Namibia, is that it has the freest press on the continent, higher than the UK and rated as a stable and thriving young democracy...higher than SA& rest of continent.
enjoy Namibia, it’s unique unlike any country on the continent and hope you visit the wondrous and oldest desert in the world, the Namib desert where it’s highest dunes are the only (stand to be corrected) place in the world where the ocean meets desert and it’s a UNESCO heritage site. Hope you also get to sandboard in the desert which Namibia is world known for... trust me, it’s exhilarating and is like nothing you’ve experienced before😊

I really enjoyed your post, but I have to clarify one thing.
Namibia is not the 2nd least populated country in the world, but it has the 2nd lowest population density in the world ( 2.9 inhabitants per kilometer square), behind Mongolia with 1.9 inhabitants per km sq.
Tuvalu is 2nd least populated country in the world with less than 12,000 inhabitants in total, behind Vatican City with just above 800 inhabitants.
On another subject, the sky in Namibia is a sight to behold. It feels like you can reach over and caress the clouds.

Info. There was no civil war. It was protracted war of liberation that was waged from Angolan territory against apartheid South africa that ruled Namibia & South africa same time. Kenya sent peace keeping troops under UNTAG(UNITED NATIONS TRANSITIONAL ASSISTANCE GROUP) in 1989 until 1990 when Namibia became independent. The peacekeepers were under the command of the UN to oversee transition to indepence after South africa agreed to step out of Namibia.

For the information..Namibian never went through civil war but a long-term liberation struggle...because of white minority oppressive...many Namibians fled the country in to exile to join the Liberation movement some sent to notorious Robern island prison...Thank God we got our independent in 21 March 1990.

KFC in Namibia is still quite new, when I first visited few years ago everyone was so excited to take me out to KFC 🤣🤣 and I was like.. Hello I'm from the Southy 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦.
    And also Debonnairs Pizza😂🤣
And they love Malls its still a new thing in Namibia. They were very excited to take me to KFC and to the malls 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@I'mZulu those are swak Namibians. KFC came to Namibia in 1994 almost 30 years ago. At primary school in 1996 I was already eating KFC at school in my lunch box. The first mall in Namibia was Maerua mall then call Maerua Park back in the early 1990s. In Katutura the first mall was opened in 1998 known as Katutura Shoprite. Malls were even in the northern towns of Oshakati as of 1998. How can they be a new phenomenon? Really????
Well people from villages who are new to the town life might be mesmerized by KFC and malls, but to some of us, we don't even eat KFCs anymore as it has just become very tasteless. Thus we ain't no new comers to these things as a country.

Namibia seems better than South Africa, i.t.o. quality of life. They don't tell us it's like this. Everything in SA doesn't work anymore, as we speak the whole country doesn't have electricity, they said today they'll keep it on until 17:00 because of some parliament work.
    Guys try Namibia, not SA.
